1901 UCV Memphis National Reunion Ribbon

A very nice reunion ribbon from the 1901 United Confederate Veteran National Reunion in Memphis, Tennessee. The ribbon is approximately 8 1/2 inches by 2 7/16 inches. The ribbon has shaking hands on the top with "1901 - U.C.V. - 11th Reunion - Memphis - May 28 29 30th" written on the ribbon. There is a nice Confederate battle flag on the ribbon in a green wreath. The ink on the '30th' has run a little but overall a very nice ribbon.

A nice ribbon worn at the 1890 R.E. Lee Monument Dedication in Richmond, Virginia. A first national Confederate flag and the Confederate battleflag, a sword, musket, and cannon barrel are on the top of the ribbon. Written on the ribbon is "In Honor of Gen. R.E. Lee - Richmond, May 29, 1890". The ribbon is approximately 6 1/4 inches long.

A really cool ribbon form a July 4, 1885 reunion of the Seward Post 37, GAR and R.E. Lee Camp, Confederate Veterans. Written on this ribbon is "Re-Union - Blue and the Gray - Seward Post 37, G.A.R., Auburn, N.Y. - R.E. Lee Camp, C.V., Richmond, Va. - July 4th, 1885 - One Country! One Flag!". The gray ribbon is approximately 6 3/4 inches long and in excellent condition.

A very hard to find United Confederate Veteran paper ribbon! These ribbons rarely survived because they were made from paper! This ribbon was worn at the "Picnic - Fry's Spring - Sept. 15th, 1910 - Confederate Veterans, Sons and Daughters, Monticello Guards, and Albemarle Band" as written on the ribbon. Fry's Spring is just outside of Charlottesville, Virginia. The ribbon is approximately 6 3/4 inches long.

A nice Georgia Confederate vetean ribbon from Augusta, GA. This ribbon predates the United Confederate Veterans by one year. Written on the ribbon is "Augusta Memorial Asso'n - September 25th, 1888. On Fame's eteranl ground - Their silent tents are spread. And glory guards, with solomn round, The bivouace of the dead." A large Confederate battleflag is in the middle of the ribbon.

1st Tennessee Regiment Infantry Reunion Ribbon

An outstanding ribbon worn by a veteran of the 1st Tennessee Infantry Confederate. This great ribbon is approximately 10 1/4 inches long. It has a likeness of General Cheatham on it and a list of all the battles the 1st Tennessee participated in. These battles included Shiloh, Perryville, Murfreesboro, Chickamauga, Missionary Ridge, Ressaca, Kennesaw Mountain, Peach Tree Creek, Atlanta, Jonesboro Spring Hill, Franklin, Nashville, Bentonville, Greensboro and many more as listed on the ribbon. This ribbon is very clean and in excellent shape.

The photo is of a veteran with his wife and the veteran is wearing his 1913 Ohio at Gettysburg badge. The backing on the photo is approximately 6 inches by 8 3/4 inches. SOLD!!! A great ribbon worn by Butler County, Ohio Veterans at the 1881 National Reunion. On the top of the ribbon is an eagle with a shield. Written on the ribbon is "Butler County, O. - EX-S.&S. - Sept. 14th,15th,16th, CINCINNATI, O. - 1881 National Reunion". The ribbon is approximately 5 3/4 inches long.

A great badge from the 1906 Department of Ohio State Encampment held in Dayton, Ohio. This badge was worn by a Delegate. The hanger says "Delegate" on it. The drop has a GAR membership star in a circle. Written on the circle is "40th Annual Encampment Dep't of Ohio - G.A.R., Dayton-June, 1906".The drop is fairly heavy.

SOLD!!! A nice heavy badge worn by veterans at the 1907 Department of Ohio Grand Army of the Republic state reunion in Canton, Ohio. This is a three part badge. The top hanger has an eagle with cannon tubes and cannon ballswith GAR and 41st Annual Enc'mp.t. - Department Ohio - G.A.R.. The second piece says Souvenir. The drop is a likeness of President McKinley's tomb in Canton. On the back of the drop is "Canton, O. - June 11-14, 1907". The badge is approximately 4 inches long.

29th Ohio Veteran's Reunion Badge

A wonderful badge worn by veterans of the 29th Ohio Infantry at their 1898 reunion. The top of the badge is a celluloid approximarly 1 3/4 inches wide. On the celluloid is written "31st Annual Re-Union, 29th Reg't O.V.V.I., Aug. 2,3,4, '98. - Sturgeons Point, Geneva, O." with one of the veterans in the center. A red ribbon with gold fringe hangs from the celluloid. On the red ribbon are the battle honors of the regiment. Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, Resaca, Kenesaw Mountain, Peachtree Creek, Atlanta, Savannah, North Edisto River, Goldsboro are just a few of the battles the 29th Ohio fought in. The badge is approximately 7 1/2 inches long. This badge was made by Whitehead & Hoag Co. Newark, N.J.

A very nice badge with a celluloid drop with "26 Ohio - Second Brigade - Second Division - Fourth Army Corps". The 8 3/8 inch red, white, and blue ribbon has "Col. Val Cupp - Post No. 263, G.A.R. Baltimore, O." written on it. On the hanger is "1861 - O.V.V.I. - 1865".

A very nice badge for the 32nd Annual Encampment of the Ohio G.A.R. . The hanger on this badge is a light metal with and eagle and 12 stars. The ribbon is red and the drop is a heavy round metal. On the drop is written "Dulce Et Decorum Est Pro Patria Mori - Col. Lorin Andrews of Knox County - Ohio's First Volunteer Soldier" with a likeness of the Colonel. On the back of the drop is written "32nd Annual Encampment Dept. of Ohio G.A.R. - Mt. Vernon, O. June 14-16, 1898" with a soldiers monument in the middle. This badge is in great condition!
