UCV In Memoriam Atlanta, GA Tige Anderson Badge

SOLD!!!

A hard to find badge worn by a member of the Tige Anderson Camp, #1455 of Atlanta, Georgia. The ribbon is black and has "In Memoriam - Camp Tige Anderson - No. 1455 - U.C.V. - Atlanta, GA." written on it. This is part of the member's camp badge. On the reverse is a red, white, and blue partial ribbon with similar information on it. The In Memoriam badge was worn at funerals of fallen comrades.


1907 Department of New Jersey Badge

A very pretty badge from the 1907 Department of New Jersey encampment held in Ocean City. The badge has a red, white, and blue ribbon with "Delegate - 40th Annual Encampment of the Department of N.J. - G.A.R. - Ocean City, June 27-28, 1907" written on it. A celluloid drop is atached with a racing yacht on it. Beautiful badge!!


Gen. George A Custer Command 1907 Reunion Badge

SOLD!!! A super badge from the first reunion of Custer's command. The badge has a hanger with crossed sabers and "Canadaigua, N.Y. - Aug. 21,22, 1907" written on it. The bottom drop has an image of Custer and "First Reunion Gen'l Geo. A. Custer's Command - 1861-1865" written on it. These are getting hard to find.

1892 Department of New Jersey Badge

A super badge from the 1892 Department of New Jersey encampment held in Trenton, N.J. The badge has a brass type hanger with a red ribbon hanging from it. Written on the ribbon is "25th Annual Encampment Department New Jersey - G.A.R. - Trenton, Feb. 11 & 12, 1892". Beautiful ribbon!

15th New Jersey 1916 Reunion Badge

SOLD!!! A great badge worn by members of the 15th New Jersey Infantry at their 1916 reunion. The badge has a hanger with "Member" on it. A red, white, and blue ribbon hangs to a wonderful celluloid drop with "37th Annual Reunion, 15th N.J.V.V. Ass'n - Newark, N.J., Sept. 21, 1916" written on it. Also in the middle is a Sixth corp emblem. Wonderful badge.

Lincoln Post, Newark, NJ to Gettysburg Badge

A really neat badge worn by New Jersey veterans on a trip to Gettysburg! The badge has a a celluloid pin with "Lincoln Post" in black. The ribbon is gray with blue trim and has "No. 11, Newark, N.J. - Gettysburg and Den Mar, Sept. 23-25, 18??" written on it. The drop is a picture of President Lincoln. The badge is approximately 7 1/2 inches tall and has sewn US flags on it. The badge is framed in a wooden frme that is approximately 7 1/4 inches by 12 3/8 inches. Hard to find badge!

1893 Dep't of New Jersey Trenton Badge

A very clean badge for the 1893 Department of New Jersey encampment held in Trenton, New Jersey. Wriiten on the red, white, and blue ribbon is "26 Annual Encampment - Dep't of New Jersey - G.A.R. Trenton - Febr'y. 9 & 10 1893.".The badge is approximately 5 5/8 inches by 2 1/2 inches.

34th New York Infantry Badge in 2nd Corp Shape

A nice silver badge worn by a member of the 34 New York Infantry. The badge is in the shape of a clover or 2nd Corp badge. A t-bar is the clasp on the back. On the front of the badge is "34. N.Y.S. Vol. Inf.". This was an early war 2 year unit that fought in the east. The primary battles were Malvern Hill, Fair Oaks, South Mountain, ASavage Station, Antietam, Fredericksburg and Chancellorsville.

Hampton's Battery Pennsylvania Artillery Badge

SOLD!!! A neat badge worn by a member of Hampton's Battery. This was a great Pennsylvania artillery unit! The badge has crossed cannons with a maroon/red ribbon and a hanger with Hampton's Battery - B on it.

126 New York 50th Anniversary Badge

SOLD!!! Great badge from the 50th anniversary of the 126th New York Infantry. The hanger is a celluloid button and has a flag ribbon hanging from the button. A hard to find badge from a great Gettysburg regiment!

21 New York Cavalry Shield Ladder Badge

SOLD!!! A great identified badge worn by a member of the 21 New York Cavalry. The identification on this badge is William L. Riley, Co. C & G. Neat badge!

1917 UCV Badge worn by 17th NC Inf. Vet Group

SOLD!!! A neat group owned by J.A. Yost of the 17th North Carolina Infantry. Yost attended the 1917 United Confederate Veteran's reunion held in Washington, D.C. There are five pieces to this group. The first piece is a U.C.V. Registration form showing J.A. Yost from Saulsbury (Salisbury), N.C. was assigned to the FAIRGROUNDS and a 1917 UCV National badge was issued. The second piece is the 1917 U.C.V. National badge! The third piece is a card that says "Registration Headquarters - United Confederate Veterans - 20th St. and 1st Avenue - KEEP THIS CARD". It looks like Yost could follow instructions!!! The fourth piece is a card and it says "THIS TICKET WILL ENTITLE THE HOLDER who must be a CONFEDERATE VETERAN OF THE CIVIL WAR to his meals until not later than after breakfast, Friday morning, June 8, 1917, at the mess hall, North Capitol and B Streets. - Under no conditions is this ticket transferable.". On the back of this card Yost wrote several places he visited. The fifth item is an ""Addenda Official Program- The Confederate Reunion - Afternoon Session - May 16". You don't find many identified national badges and all the other items are just gravy!

Maryland Society of the Army & Navy Badge

A hard to find Society of the Army & Navy of the Confederate States in Maryland badge. This badge was worn at the unveiling of the Private Soldier Monument at Richmond, VA May 30, 1894. The badge consits of a yellow and black ribbon held together by a metal flower type pin. Maryland badges are almost impossible to find!!!!

29th Ohio Infantry Reunion Badge with Gettysburg

A great badge worn by veteran's of the 29th Ohio veteran volunteers! This wonderful badge has a celluloid hanger with one of the members of the 29th Ohio's likeness surrounded by "31st Annual Re-Union, 29th Reg't O.V.V.I., Aug. 2,3,4, 98. Sturgeon's Point, Geneva, O." written on it. A long red ribbon is attached to the celluloid pin. On the red ribbon is a list of the battles the 29th Ohio fought in. The battles include Cedar Mountain, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, Dug Gap, Resaca, Kenesaw Mountain, Atlanta, Savannah, and Goldsboro. This unit was in the east and the west!! There is a very small notch on the right side of the badge which does not affect the quality of the badge.

Maj. Gen. James A. Wilson 1st Ohio VV.Cav. Badge

SOLD!!! A wonderful badge worn by one of Major General James H. Wilson's cavalry soldiers at the 50th reunion held in 1915. The hanger is a celluloid pin with the likeness of General Wilson. Written on the pin is "Maj. Gen. James H. Wilson". Hanging from the pin is a yellow ribbon. Written on the ribbon is "Sept. 28. 1865 . Sept. 28, 1915 - 36th Annual Reunion - First O.V.V.C. (Ohio Veteran Volunteer Cavalry) - Fiftieth Anniversary of Discharge - Badge of Cavalry Corps, Army of the Cumberland - Columbus, Ohio - Sept. 24th, 1915". A drawing of the Army of the Cumberland Cavalry Corp badge in in the center. General Wilson cavalry badges are hard to come by. Don't miss this one!
