This is one outstanding ribbon from Morgan's Cavalry. The ribbon is approximately 3 inches by 7 7/8 inches. The ribbon has "Morgan's Cavalry - Confederate States Army" printed on it with the Third National Confederate flag. This ribbon is in outstanding shape and a very hard to find and collectable regiment.

151 New York Ladder Badge

These identified ladder badges are getting harder and harder to find! I have just bought eight ladder badges out of a 40 year old collection. This badge has "Co. I" on the hanger and the next two bars have "151 New York" on them. The bottom shield has "Vol. Inf." with crossed rifles. The 151 NY pursued Lee in his retreat from Gettysburg, fought at the Bloddy Angle at Spottslyvania, and other eastern major battles all the way to Appomattox. Great regiment - hard to find badge!

G" on the hanger and "55 Illinois" on the next two bars. The shield has "Vol. Inf." with crossed rifles. The 55 Illinois was at Shiloh,Vicksburg, Atlanta, Sherman's March to the Sea, and the Carolinas. Great regiment - hard to find badge!

A on the hanger and the drop is the 5th Corp cross with "140 N.Y. Vol. Inf." on it. The 140 NY was at Fredricksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, and other eastern major battles all the way to Appomattox. Great regiment - hard to find badge!

These identified ladder badges are getting harder and harder to find! I have just bought eight ladder badges out of a 40 year old collection. This badge was owned by H.H. Cassel, Co. F, 74th Ohio Infantry. There is an acorn standing for the Fourteenth Corp at the bottom of the badge. These guys fought in the West from Stone's River, Middle Tennessee, Chattanooga, Atlanta, Sherman's March to the sea, and ended up in the Carolinas.

A, 1st Rhode Island Cavalry. There is a Sheridan's Cavalry Corp stamp at the bottom of the badge. The 1st Rhode Island fought at many of the eastern battles including Gettysburg!

D, 4th Massachusetts Cavalry. There is a star with a 20 in the middle standing for the 20 Corp at the bottom of the badge.

1st Wisconsin Cavalry Reunion Collection

Here is a great collection from a veteran of the 1st Wisconsin Cavalry! There are five items in this collection. The center piece is a wonderful badge from the 1896 reunion of the 1st Wisconsin Cavalry. This wonderful badge has a hanger that is a carbine! The drop has crossed sabers and says "First Wisconsin Cavalry - 1861 - 1896 - Reunion - St. Paul". These were issued at the 1896 GAR National Convention at St. Paul. The next piece is a celluloid type badge with "First Regiment Wisconsin Cavalry" written on the badge. The third badge is from the 1889 GAR National Encampment at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The fourth badge is also from the 1889 GAR National Encampment at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The fifth piece is a GAR cloth hat badge. Don't miss this great collection!

1890 Maryland at Boston National Conv. Badge

Very hard to find Maryland badge. This great badge was issued to Maryland veterans visiting the 1890 Boston GAR National Convention. On the hanger it says "MARYLAND". The ribbon is red and had "Boston 1890" on it. The drop has "OUR BIRD" and a teripin or turtle on it. On the back of the drop is written "Dep't of Maryland G.A.R. Official Badge Adopted 1890 - Geo.R.Graham, M.D.-Dep't. Com'd'r". There is a minor weakness in the ribbon at the bottom clasp.

This great ribbon/badge is from the 1888 9th New York Cavalry 2nd reunion at Gettysburg. The ribbon is approximately 7 7/8 inches long and the fringe is approximately 1 3/8 inches for an overall length of 8 1/4 inches. The ribbon is approximately 2 3/8 inches wide. On the ribbon is written in silver "1863 - 1888 - GETTYSBURG -July 1st, 2d, & 3d, 1888 - 9th N. Y. Cavalry - 2nd Brigade - 1st Division - Cavalry Corps - 2nd Reunion - 9th N.Y. Cavalry". THe 9th NY Cavalry monument is on the badge. This badge is from the 25th Gettysburg reunion. It is very difficult to find badges from this reunion.

1913 Virginia at Gettysburg Cavalry Badge

You never see these anymore. This is a great badge worn by Confederate veterans at Gettysburg in 1913. The hanger has "VIRGINIA" on it. The attached yellow ribbon has crossed sabers and "Gettysburg 1913". The wonderful celluloid drop has Robert E. Lee. This badge was worn by cavalry veterans at the 50th Reunion of the battle of Gettysburg. There is a very minor seperation in the ribbon under the "G" in Gettysburg. This does not effect this badge!

1938 Gettysburg 75th Anniversary Badge

Another great Gettysburg badge. The top is the common pinback you see often by itself. On it is "75th Anniversary - 1863 - 1938 - Battle of Gettysburg" with a Union and Confederate soldier with flags. Attached is a faded blue and gray ribbon which is not unusual. What is unusual about this badge is the sword attachment that is attached to the pinback. The sword is approximately 3 1/4 inches long and has a pin attachment on the back. This is one of those unusual badge you rarely find!

Gen. Greene Monument Dedication Badge - 1907

Here is an extremely hard to find Gettysburg monument dedication badge. This great badge was issued to veterans at the monument dedication of the General Greene monument at Gettysburg in 1907. The hanger has an eagle with "New York" written on it. The middle piece says "VETERAN", and the drop has General Greene's monument and says "Dedication Bronze Statue of Gen. Greene - Gettysburg, Sept. 27, 1907". The badge is made by Whitehead & Hoag. The badge is approximately 3 7/8 inches tall.
