A great badge from the 1925 United Confederate Veteran State Reunion held in Wilson, North Carolina. The hanger is a pinback with two Confederate flags and a UCV North Carolina State Commander on it. A red/white/red ribbon hans from the pinback. On the ribbon in gold is written "18th Annual Reunion North Carolina Division U.C.V. - Wilson, N.C. - June 3-4-5, 1925".

A great badge worn by veterans of the 3rd Rhode Island Heavy Artillery at their 1895 reunion. This great badge has a large red ribbon with an attached celluloid photo of their colonel. The ribbon is approximately 6 7/8 inches by 2 3/8 inches. The celluloid photo is approximately 2 5/8 inches by 2 inches. The photo is attached to the ribbon by two ribbons. A pin shaped like a t is on the back.

A great badge from the 1890 GAR Pennsylvania State Encampment held at Shamokin, Pennsylvania. The badge was presented "Compliments of Lincoln Post No. 140" as noted on the back of the drop. The card is mounted on an old card and has "E.C.Davis #293 - 1963 - 2.00" written on the back of the card. It looks like this badge sold for $2.00 in 1963!

A nice badge worn by the Rhode Island delegation attending the 1890 Grand Army of the Republic National Encampment held in Boston, Massachusetts. The hanger of this badge has an anchor nad "Rhode Island - HOPE". A red ribbon is attached to the hanger. A drop is attached to the ribbon. On the drop is the bust of Benjamin F. Davis, 1890 Department Commander. On the back of the drop is "R.I. Delegation to 24th Nat. Encpt. - BOSTON - Aug. 1890 - G.A.R.". The ribbon on this badge is in great condition. Normally the ribbon is in poor condition on this badge but this one is in great condition.

1905 GAR Denver, Colo. National Encampment Badge

In my opinion, one of the prettiest badges made for Grand Army of the Republic National Encampments. This beautiful badge was created for the 1905 encampment held in Denver, Colorado. The hanger has a cowboy on a bucking bronco. Around the cowboy is an enameled GAR. Also the "39th National Encampment" is in white enamel. A gold "Delegate" bar hangs from the cowboy. Another bar has cattle, mining, and farming represented in silver and gold. The bottom drop has two enameled U.S. flags. An eagle with a GAR star and a bronze disk with the likeness of W.W. Blackmar, Commander-in-Chief. A yellow ribbon hangs behind the badge. On the back of the ribbon is a Whitehead & Hoag Co. sticker.
This badge is missing the pin on the back of the hanger.

A nice badge for the 13th reunion for veterans of the Mexican War. The ribbon has a gold type woven hanger with a pin attached. A ribbon hangs from the hanger. On the ribbon is an United States flag and a cannon. Written on the ribbon is "1846-'47 & '48 - 13th Reunion National Association Mexican War". The bottom of the ribbon is frayed and seperated where "WAR" is written. On the back of the ribbon you can see a circle where the manufacturers name was but is not there now. Very hard to find Mexican War items.

SOLD!!! A great badge worn by Daughters of the War of 1812. The hanger has New York on it. A blue and gray ribbon hangs from the hanger. An enameled blue star drop hangs from the ribbon. On the star is "U.S.D. 1812". Behind the star is an anchor. On the back of the drop is engraved "Cord F. Reynolds - 4743". These badges are getting hard to find!

A wonderful badge worn by veterans living in Delaware at the 1892 GAR National Encampment held at Washington, DC. The ribbon is approximately 9 inches by 2 3/8 inches. THere are two rows of fringe on the badge. The top of the badge has two applied US flags with an eagle and a star. On the lower half odf the badge is "DEPARTMENT of DELAWARE - 1892". The badge was made by Whitehead & Hoag but stamped over the Whitehead & Hoag sticker is "Samuel Wier, 504 W. Fourth Street, Wilmington, Delaware" in purple ink.
Delaware badges are extremely hard to find. Only three counties and not a great number of soldiers compared to the large states!

SOLD!!! A late badge worn by members of the National Association of Ex-Prisoners of war. The hanger has crossed US flags. A yellow ribbon is attached to the hanger. Written on the ribbon is "National Association of Union Ex-Prisoners of War" in gold.

First Ohio Infantry - First Bull Run Association

A wonderful group worn by veterans of the Fist Bull Run Association and the 1st Ohio Infantry. The badge in the middle is an incredible bade. The badge has a brass hanger with a blue ribbon and gold fringe on the bottom of the ribbon. Written on the badge in gold is "He who fights and runs away - May live to fight another day - First Bull Run Association - Franklin, Ohio - Organized June 17th, 1886". There is a bull in the middle of the badge.
The second ribbon is white and has "Bull Run, July 21, 1861" written on it with a bull and an infantry horn. A "21" hangs from the top part of the badge. The third part of the group is a blue ribbon with "1st O.V.I. - July 21, 1861" written on the ribbon.
A wonderful grouping!

The drop has "Boston 1904" written on it with the Ex POW logo in the middle.

SOLD!!! A wonderful badge from the 1911 Grand Army of the Republic National Encampment worn by members of the Union Ex-Prisoners of War Association. The Encampment was held in Rochester, New York. The silver colored hanger has a Veterans Monument and "1911 Rochester, New York - To Those Who Faithful Unto Death Gave Their Lives For Their Country" written on it. The ribbon is yellow. The drop has a stockade and prisoners and guards on it. "NAUEPofW" is written on the bottom of the drop. The badge was made by Bastian Bros. as noted on the back of the drop.

A yellow ribbon hangs from the hanger. Written in gold on the ribbon is "Delegate - 33rd Annual Encampment - N.A.U.Ex-O.of W. - Denver - Sept. 1905". A Union Ex-POW badge is featered on the ribbon.
