2nd Minnesota Infantry Ladder Badge

A wonderful 2nd Minnesota Volunteer Infantry two piece ladder type badge.  The top has "Co. I' on it and the drop is in the shape of the Fourteenth Corp acorn.  Written on the drop is "2 Minn. Vol. Inf.".  The pin is attached to the hanger.  The history of the regiment is below.

Great Large Celluloid of General Judson Kilpatrick

A great large celluloid of General Hugh Judson "Killcavalry" Kilpatrick.  The celluloid is approximately 1 3/4 inches wide.  It was made by the Whitehead & Hoag Company, Newark, New Jersey as noted on the back of the celluloid.  Kilpatrick had a stellar Civil War cavalry career.

131 Pennsylvania Infnatry Reunion Badge

A great badge worn by veterans of the 131st Pennsylvania Infantry at their 34th reunion held in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.  The badge has a celluloid hanger with the Pennsylvania coat of arms on it.  A red ribbon is suspended from the drop.  Written in gold ink on the ribbon is "34th Reunion of the 131st Reg't Penn'A Veteran Vol. Infantry - Lewisburg, PA.".  This badge was manufactured by the Whitehead & Hoag Company, Newark, New Jersey.  There is a paper lable in the hanger and a paper label attached to the ribbon.

Identified 19 Ohio Infantry State Medal made by Tiffany

A wonderful Civil War medal presented to the veterans of Ohio from the State of Ohio.  This is the drop from the badge.  This badge was presented to George M. Hull, Company H, 19th Ohio Veteran Volunteers.  George M. Hull enlisted as a corporal in September 1861.  He was promoted to Sergeant Major in January 1863, 2nd Lieutenant in August 1864, and 1st Lieutenant in December 1864.  He mustered out in October 1865.
 
The medal has a soldier receiving a laurel wreath on his head by Lady Liberty with an eagle watching in the background.  The back of the medal says "The State of Ohio To Geo. M. Hull, Veteran, Co. H, 19th Regt. Ohio Volunteer".  Tiffany is stamped on the bottom rimof the back drop.

National Ex-Prisioner of War Badge

A wonderful badge worn by ex-prisioner of war veterans at the Grand Army of the Republic reunions.  This great badge has an eagle holding a knapsack in it's claws with crossed rifles behind it.  The drop is in the shape of a prision stockade with the cannons pointing in toward the captured soldiers.  In the middle of the badge is a soldier lying on the ground with a dog on top of him.  The words "Death Before Dishonor" are beneath the soldier.  The badge is made by the J.K. Davision, Philadelphia company as stamped on the back of the drop.


1911 UCV Little Rock, Arkansas Reunion Badge

A great badge worn at the 1911 United Confederate Veterans national reunion held in Little Rock, Arkansas.  This badge has a hanger with the word "Souvenir" on it.  The drop is attached by two rings.  On the drop is a large eagleand two Second National Confederate flags.  A wreath surrounds the letters "UCV".  Written around UCV is "Confederate Reunion - Little Rock, ARK. May 15 - 20, 1911".  One of the flags is missing some the the white paint.  The badgge was made by the Charles M. Robbins Co., Attleboro, Massachusetts as noted on the back of the drop. 

1910 Department of Ohio State Badge

A beautiful badge worn by Ohio veterans at the 1910 Department of Ohio state encampment held at Xenia, Ohio.  The hanger has the GAR membership hanger with the word "Delegate" beneath it.  A red, blue, white,blue, and red tribbon is attached to the hanger.  "Ohio True to the Union" is written in gold colored ink.  A round drop is attached to the ribbon.  Writtten on the front of the drop is"Presented by Lewis Post No. 347 Xenia, Ohio - In Memory of Col. John W. Lowe 12th O.V.I. - Ohio's First Martyrfield Officer" with the likeness of Colonel Lowe.  On the back of the drop is written "44th Annual Encampment G.A.R. at Xenia, Ohio, June 14,15,16, 1910 - Administration Building - O.S.& S.O. Home".

1910 Department of Indiana State Reunion Badge

A wonderful three piece badge worn by Indiana veterans at their reunion held in Terre Haute, Indiana in 1910.  The hanger has "GAR" in red, white, and blue paint.  The word "Delegate" is over the GAR and battle scenes surround both.  Attached to the hanger is a GAR star in the middle and the drop below.  The drop has an eagle and the veterans monument in Terre Haute.  Written on the drop is "Dept. of Indiana - Terre Haute - 31st Encampment - May 25,26,27, 1910".

A neat badge worn by Indiana veterans at the 1896 Indiana State Encampment held in South Bend, Indiana.  The hanger has "1896 - South Bend" written on it.  The hanger is attached to a red ribbon.  The drop has th likeness of Schuyler Colfax on it.  The back of the drop has "Seventeenth Annual Encampment Department Indiana G.A.R. - South Bend - May 13-14, 1896" written on it.

2nd Corp Enameled Cavalry Badge

A beautiful enameled badge worn by veteran members of the 2nd Corp Cavalry.  The badge is in the shape of a pennant and has red, white, and blue enamel on the front of the badge.  The back has a "T-bar" pin.  This is one you will really enjoy! 

Calhoun County Veteran Battalion, Battle Creek, Michigan 1909 Reunion Badge

A neat reunion badge for the Calhoun County Veteran Battalion held in Battle Creek, Michigan in 1909.  The hanger has a celluloid image of Abraham Lincoln on it.  A red, white, and blue ribbon is attached to the hanger.  Written in gold ink on the ribbon is "19th Annual Reunion - Calhoun Co. Veteran Battalion - Battle Creek, Mich. - Aug. 18, 1909".  The badge was made by the St. Louis Button Company, St. Louis, Missouri as noted on the back of the hanger.The badge is approximately 5 1/4 inches by 2 inches.

124 Indiana Infantry 1913 Reunion Badge

A nice badge worn by a member of the 124th Indiana Infantry.  A celluloid pinback serves as the badge hanger.  Chaplain R.H. Sparks likeness is on the celluloid pinback.  Reuben H. Sparks was the chaplain of the 124th Indiana Infantry at the end of the war.  A red, white, and blue ribbon is attached to the celluloid hanger.  Written on the ribbon in gold ink is "124th Indiana Infantry - 37th Annual Reunion - Lynn, Indiana - Oct. 1-2, 1913".

84 Indiana Infantry 1917 Reunion Badge

A great badge from the 1917 reunion of the 84th Indiana Infantry held in Muncie, Indiana.  The Celluloid hanger has I.F. Sweeney's likeness on it and has "84th Ind. Vol. Infantry - I.F. Sweeney" written on it.  A red, white, and blue ribbon is attached to the celluloid pinback and has "45th Annual Reunion - 84th Indiana Vol. Infnatry - Muncie, IND. - 1917" written in gold ink on it.  The badge is approximately 4 3/8 inches long.  The celluloid pin is approximately 1 3/4 inches.  Sweeney mustered in as a hospital steward in September 1862.  He ended the war as an Assistant surgeon and mustered out in June 1865.

Morgan's Men - 4th kentucky Cavalry Grouping

A nice grouping of Morgan's Men items.  THe first item is a Morgan's Men ribbon with General John Hunt Morgan's likeness on the top of the ribbon.  The second piece is a 4th Kentucky Cavalry reunion badge.  The badge has a brass type bar for the hanger.  An off white ribbon is suspended from the hanger.  Written in red on the ribbon is "C.S.A. - Re-Union 4th KY. Regiment, Confederate Cavalry - Carrollton, KY. - 1895".  The badge is approximately 6 1/2 inches long and 3 inches wide on the hanger.The Morgan's Men ribbon is approximately 7 1/2 inches long and 1 7/8 inches wide.

45 North Carolina "Rockingham Rebels" Celluloid Pinback

A hard to find pinback worn by a member of the "Rockingham Rebels", Company G, 45th North Carolina Infnatry, Army of Northern Virginia.  The pinback is approximately 1 1/4 inches wide.  In the center of the pinback is the First National Confederate flag.  Written around the flag is "Remember - Rockingham Rebels".  The back of the pin has a torn maker label and has some discolorization.  Please see photo.
