1894 GAR National Souvenir Badge - Pittsburg

SOLD!!! A nice badge sold at the 1894 Grand Army of the Republic National Encampment held at Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. The badge has a brass hanger with a red, white and blue ribbon attached. The drop is in the form of a keystone.

1890 Society of Ex-Confederate Soldiers Badge

SOLD!!!
A great badge worn by the members of the Washington, DC United Confederate Veteran camp. The Washington vets wore this badge at the dedication of the R.E. Lee Monument in Richmond, Virginia on May 29, 1890. The hanger is a disc covered in cloth. Two ribbons are suspended from the hanger. The white ribbon has "Society of Ex-Confederate Soldiers, District of Columbia." written on it. The red ribbon has "Lee Monument, May 29th, 1890." written on it. A very hard to find badge for the dedication of the Lee Monument!

1921 Charlottesville, VA Celluloid Badge

A really great badge from the 1921 Charlottesville, Virginia Confederate reunion. The hanger on this badge is an oval with an orange ring and "U.C.V." written on the hanger. The drop is made of celluloid and has crossed Confederate battle flags and Stonewall Jackson's monument. Written on the front of the drop is "Annual Encampment - Dept. of Virginia - Charlottesville, 1921". The flip side of the celluloid drop is a calendar for 1922. Most of these badges were used as calendars so you don't see a complete badge very often.


San Antonio A.S. Johnson Camp 144 Badge

SOLD!!! A wonderful camp badge from Camp #144, San Antonio, Texas. This great badge has a gold colored ribbon on the front with a battle flag and "Albert Sidney Johnson - Camp No 144 - S.W. Texas Division - United COnfederate Veterans - San Antonio, Tex." written on the ribbon. The hanger is larg and has two tassels attached to it. There is a black ribbon on the back of the badge which has the same information as the front on it. This is the "In Memorium" badge worn to funerals of their veteran brothers. This badge is approximately 10 inches long.

1901 Springfield, MO Conf. Monument Unveiling Cell

A wonderful celluloid badge from the 1901 Confederate Monument Unveiling in Springfield, Missouri. The badge is approximately 2 1/8 inches wide. On the fron of the badge is a Confederate monument and a battle flag. Written on the badge is "Confederate Monument Unveiling, Springfield, MO. - Aug. 8 - 10, 1901". On the back of this badge is a great likeness of Major General Sterling Price. You don't have a chance at a badge like this very often!

1893 Jefferson Davis Re-Internment Badge

A great badge worn at the re-internment of Jefferson Davis's remains in 1893. This great badge has a Souvenir hanger. A black and whit ribbon hangs from the top hanger. On the ribbon in gold is "Re-Interred May 31, 1893 - Richmond, VA.". The drop has Jefferson Davis on it. On the back of the drop is the R.E.Lee Monument. The ribbon is weak on the right side as you can see in the photo. A very hard to find badge. This just came in a 30 year collection we just bought!

1905 R.E.Lee Camp #1 In Memorium Fitzhugh Lee Ribb

A very hard to find ribbon In Memorium to Fitzhugh Lee at his burial. This neat ribbon is black with gold writing. The ribbon is approximately 7 5/8 inches by 3 1/16 inches wide. On the ribbon written in gold is "R.E. Lee Camp No. 1 - United Sons of Confederate Veterans - In Memory of Gen. Fitzhugh Lee - May 4, 1905". There are some rents in this ribbon. This came out of a 30 year old collection we were lucky enough to buy. You don't see this ribbon very often!

1893 Re-Interment of Jefferson Davis Badge

A hard to find badge from the re-internment of the remains of Jefferson Davis in May, 1893. The badge is approximately 8 1/2 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide. The top of the badge is a black ribbon with a "T" pin in the back. The ribbon has two crossed flags. One is a Virginia flag and the other is a black mourning flag. Written in silver on the ribbon is "RE-INTERMENT of the Remains of Hon. Jefferson Davis - Hollywood Cemetary, Richmond, VA. - May 31, 1893". A gold tassel hangs from the ribbon. On the back of the ribbon is a very small amount of archival tape supporting a weak area. Please see photos.

1896 R.E.Lee Camp #1 Sons C.V. at UCV Reunion Ribb

SOLD!!! A wonderful ribbon from the R.E. Lee Camp, No.1 - Sons of Confederate Veterans at the 1896 UCV National Reunion held in Richmond, Virginia. The ribbon is approximately 7 7/8 inches by 2 1/8 inches. Jefferson Davis is the center piece of this ribbon with the Confederate battle flag and third national flag surrounding him. Written on the ribbon is "Welcome - R.E. Lee Camp, No. 1 - Sons C.V. - Reunion June 30, July 1-2, 1896 - Richmond. Official. D.A. Brown, Jr". This ribbon has the original brown paper attached to the back of the ribbon as the ribbon was issued to veterans and sons. The interesting thing about this ribbon is that this was the first year the United Sons of Confederate Veterans was established. The Sons were created at this reunion. This is the first national Sons of Confederate Veterans badge/ribbon! This and several other ribbons and badges just came out of a 30 year old collection!

1894 Richmond Soldier & Sailor Monument Ribbon

A colorful ribbon worn at the 1894 unveiling of the Confederate Soldiers and Sailors Monument in Richmond, Virginia. The badge is approximately 6 15/16 inches by 2 5/8 inches. The ribbon has the monument in the middle of the ribbon. The battle flag and the third national Confederate flag are surrounding the monument. Written on the ribbon is "The Confederate Soldiers and Sailors Monument, Richmond, Virginia - May 30th, 1894". This ribbon is very clean and I haven't seen one of these on the market for quite some time. This and several other ribbons and badges just came out of a 30 year old collection!


1896 UCV Richmond Delegate Ribbon

One of the nicest 1896 United Confederate Veteran Delegate ribbons to be available in quite some time. This great ribbon is approximately 7 11/16 inches by 2 3/8 inches. The original Paper backing is still attached to this ribbon! There is a bright red Confederate battle flag in the middle of the ribbon. Written on the ribbon is "Sixth Annual Reunion U.C.V. - Richmond, VA. - June 30. July 1 and 2, 1896 - DELEGATE - Official - Peyton Wise". This is condsidered to be the 1896 UCV National Delegate badge! If you are collecting a set of national badges, this is the one for 1896. This and several other ribbons and badges just came out of a 30 year old collection!

1921 UCV Chattanooga Delegate Pinback

A wonderful pinback from the 1921 UCV reunion held in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The pinback is approximately 1 3/4 inches wide. Written on the pinback is "Chattanooga, October 25-27, 1921 - DELEGATE - U.C.V.". The pinback was made by J. Earl Rogers, New Orleans.

1898 UCV Atlanta Reunion National Badge

A great pinback worn by the Confederate veterans at the 1898 national reunion held in Atlanta, Georgia. The pinback is approximately 1 3/4 inches wide. There are three Confederate flags on the pinback. Written on the pinback is "U.C.V. Reunion, 1898. Atlanta, July 20-23 - OFFICIAL Visiting Veteran". This great pinback was made by the Whitehead & Hoag Company, Newark, N.J. This is considered the official 1898 badge of the Atlanta reunion!

50th Anniversay Battle of 1st Manassas Pinback

A great pinback from the 50th Anniversary of the Battle of 1st Manassas. This great pinback is approximately 2 inches wide. On the front it has two American flags, a Confederate battle flag, and a Virginia state flag. Written on the pinback is "Fiftieth Anniversary of the First Battle - National Jubilee of Peace - 1861-1865". The badge was made by "S.N. Meyer Manufacturer - Washington, D.C." as shown on the paper in the back.
