Michigan ladder badges are getting really hard to find. This badge is for the 12th Michigan Infantry. The 12th Michigan was a hard fighting western unit. They fought at Shiloh, Corinth, Vicksburg, and other noteworthy battles.

10th New York Cavalry Identified Veteran's Group

Here is a wonderful collection of reunion badges from the 10th New York Cavarly. The first badge is a gold identified veteran's badge. This wonderful jeweler made badge has two horse heads and a horse shoe on the hanger. "John J. Potter, Co. B" is inscribed on the gold top hanger. There is a yellow ribbon between the hanger and the bottom drop. The bottom drop has a Sheridan's Cavalry Corp symbol and "!0th N.Y. Cavelry Vetn Assn". Potter's GAR membership badge is included with two additional veteran reunion ribbons. One is from the 1903 reunion and the other is from the 1904 reunion.

1st Maine Cavalry Member's Badge

A really hard to find badge for the 1st Maine Cavalry member's badge. This wonderful badge has a Henry rifle as the hanger. On the rifle is "1st ME Cav.". The drop has crossed swords with a horse shoe and horse with an evergreen tree on the top. Attaching the hanger to the drop are attachments that look like cartridge straps. These beautiful badges are getting impossible to find.
The 1st Maine Cavalry fought in most the major battles in the eastern theatre. They were at Antitam, Fredricksburg, Gettysburg, Mine Run, Cold Harbour, Trevilian Station, Ream's Station, and Aldie.

74 Indiana Reunion Grouping - 6 Badges- 14 Corps

Here is a wonderful gouping of six badges from reunions of the 74 Indiana Infantry. The first in the group is a two piece badge with "Member" on the red, white, and blue hanger. The bottom drop has a 14th Corp acorn and has "30th Reunion, 74th Ind. Vet. Vol. Inf. - Elkhart, Ind., Sept. 10-11". The second piece is a ribbon with applied American flags and "21st Annual Reunion - 74th Reg't Indiana Vet. Asso. - Warsaw, Ind. - Sept. 19-20, 1905". The third piece is a celluloid button with a 14 Corp acorn and "74 Ind. Vol. Inf. 62-65". The fourth piece is a numbered GAR membership badge. The fifth piece is an extremely hard to find swallow tail celluloid badge. On the badge is "27th Annual Reunion - 74th Ind. Vet. Vol. Inf. - Monroeville, Ind, Sept. 26th-27th, 1911 - 62 - 65". There is a very small crack approximately 1/8 inches in the middle of the swallow tail. The sixth and last piece is a celluloid button with a Union parade with flags and drums and marching soldiers. On the button is "16th Annual Reunion of the 74th Indiana Vol. Inf. - Pleasant Lake, Ind. - October 11-12, 1900". In todays market you never see this many reunion badges together for one unit.
The 74th Indiana Infantry fought against Morgan and drove him across the Rolling Fork. The brigade marched to Tullahoma and participated in the Chattanooga Campaign. It fought at Chickamauga, Missionary Ridge, Dallas, Kennesaw, Lost Mountain, Peachtree Creek, and numerous minor engagements around Atlanta. It went with Sherman on his march through Georgia and then into the Carolinas. A great group for a hard fighting western regiment.

The National Assocation of Shiloh Survivors Badge

One of the nicest Shiloh Survivors badges I have seen in years! This beautiful badge has wonderful gold gilt. The hanger is a tree limb with "Shiloh" and has a coffee can hanging in the middle. The bottom drop which is shaped like a canteen has two long chains attaching it to the hanger. In the middle of the drop is a union shield with two vets and a US flag. Around the shield is "We drank from the same canteen". On the back of the drop is a scene of the battle of Shiloh and around the scene is "The National Association of Battle of Shiloh Survivors. If you have ever wanted one of these badges, this is the one!

1925 Aide Commander-In-Chief National Badge-Dallas

Here is a wonderful Aide to the UCV Commander-In-Chief badge for the 1925 Dallas, Texas UCV National Reunion. This beautiful badge has a hanger that has a Texas star and says "The City of the Hour - Dallas". The drop has Gen. Lee and the Dallas Confederate monument, UCV, and "35th Annual Reunion Dallas 1925". This badge is attached to a red and white ribbon that has "Aide Commander-In-Chief" in gold. It is hard to find nice staff badges like this anymore.

1881 Chattanooga Ex-Confederate Veterans Ribbon

An early, pre-United Confederate Veterans ribbon from a Chattanooga reunion in 1881. The white ribbon has two hands shaking with "Ex-Confederate - Chattanooga, Tenn. Sept. 22d, 1881" in red. The ribbon is approximately 7 inches long.

A hard to find badge from the 7 Pennsylvania Cavalry reunions! This great badge has a celluloid disk with Capt. James G. Taylor, Co. K on it. The yellow ribbon says "26th Annual Re-Union - Seventh Penna. Vet'n Vol. Cavalry - Connellsville, PA. - Oct. 6 & 7, 1903" in silver on the badge.

28 Wisconsin Co. D Ladder Badge

Here is a great ladder badge for the 28 Wisconsin Infantry, Co. D. This five piece badge has four bars and a brass tassel. Wonderful badge!
The 28 Wisconsin spent most of it's war duty in Arkansas. They were part of the 4,000 garrison at Helena when it was attacked by 18,000 Confederates. The garrison held and the Confederates retreated. They moved to Mobile and fought there at the end of the war.

56 New York Infantry Identified Ladder Badge

SOLD! SOLD! SOLD! An identified ladder badge to J.H. Powers, Co. C, 56th New York Infantry. The 56 New York Infantry fought early in the war at Yorktown, Williamsburg, Savage Station, Fair Oaks, and Malvern Hill. The regiment was then moved to the Charleston, SC area and was active in the seige of Fort Wagner and fought in other action around South Carolina.

31 Ohio Identified Ladder Badge

This badge is identified to Bennett W. Longworth of the 31 Ohio Infantry. The 31 Ohio fought in the Tullahoma campaign, Chickamauga, Missionary Ridge, Atlanta campaign, Sherman's March to the Sea, and up through the Carolinas to Bentonville. A great badge for a great unit.

12th Alabama Infantry ANV Ladder Badge

This is a great identified ladder badge for Benjamin F. Pinson, 12th Alabama Infantry, CO. B. The top hanger has "B.F. Pinson" on it. On the bottom drop is "Co. B - 12 ALA. Vol. Inf. - C.S.A." with a Confederate battle flag. Pinson joined early in the war and fought with the Army of Northern Virginia for the whole war. He surrenderred at Appomattox. What a record! What a badge!

Identified Ohio Civil War Veterans Medal

Here is a really nice Ohio Civil War Veterans Medal. These were presented by the State of Ohio to Civil War veterans. This medal was presented to Nicholas D. Palmer, Corporal, 80 Ohio Infantry, Co. E. Palmer mustered in in Nov. 1861 and mustered out Aug. 1865. The 80th Ohio was a hard fighting western regiment. They fought at Corinth, Iuka, Raymond, Jackson, Vicksburg, Mission Ridge, Sherman's March to the Sea, and Bentonville. This man made it all! The medal has taken a dark chocolate patina.

A really neat pin from the 1904 UCV National Reunion at Nashville, Tennessee. This great pin is approximately 1 1/8 inches wide and has a "T" bar pin on the back. On the front of the pin is John B. Gordon and "Nashville - June 1904 - UCV".
