A great badge from the 1913 50th Anniversary of the battle of Gettysburg. This two piece brass badge has "Souvenir" on the hanger and the bottom drop has a white dove. Written on the drop is "50th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg - July 1-3, 1913". There is an enameled US and Confederate flag.

This is a great badge from the 50th Anniversary of the battle of Gettysburg in 1913. This great badge has two Union flags and two Confederate flags. Lee and Meade are in the middle of the drop. The ribbon is red, white, and blue.

21 Missouri Identifed Ladder Badge

Here is a hard to find state ladder badge. This great ladder badge was owned by C.W. Jones, 21 Missouri Volunteer Infantry(Union). The badge has "Co. H' on the top ladder and "21'' MO." on the second ladder. On the shield it says "Vol. Inf. - War 1861 -5 - C.W. Jones" with crossed rifles and corp emblem.

Commander in Chief Gold Presentation Badges

Two wonderful gold presentation badges from C.H. William Ruhe, GAR Commander in Chief 1937. These wonderful badges have just come out of the family and are now offered to the market. The first badge is a wonderful gold badge presented to Ruhe as the Commander in Chief. The gold eagle hanger has a large diamond under the eagles head. An officers bar with four stars with four diamonds is attached to the eagle hanger. A Sheridans Cavalry emblem is hanging from the officers bar. Two long gold chains hang from the officers bar and are attached to a beautiful gold GAR star. Engraved on the back of the GAR star is "Presented to C.H. William Ruhe, Commander in Chief, G.A.R. By his Aides and Official Family, Madison, Wisc. 1937". A Davis, Philadelphia, 10 K mark is at the bottom of the star. This wonderful badge is encased in the origional leather case. The second badge was presented to Ruhe as Department Commander of Pennsylvania. The eagle hanger is gold. There is an officers bar with two stars and diamond chips on the tips of the stars. A Sheridans Cavalry symbol with a large diamond hangs from the officers bar, and the GAR star has five diamonds in each of the five tips. Engraved on the back of the gold star is "Presented to C.H. William Ruhe - Commander - Dept. of Penna - G.A.R. - by members of his staff - June, 1921". This badge also has the origional leather case. Ruhe was in the 4th PA Cavalry. There were less than 80 Commander's in Chief of the GAR. This group has never been offered to the market before!!!!

Illinois G.A.R. Past Post Commanders Presentation

This wonderful badge was presented to George M. Harper, Past Post Commander, Winfield Scott Post 445, Chicago, Illinois. George M. Harper was in the 35th Illinois Infantry. The badge has an eagle, cannons, and sword hanger. Attached to the hanger is a local(blue stripe) GAR ribbon and chains attached to a post commanders rank strap. The drop is attached to the rank strap. On the back of the star drop is engraved "G.M. Harper - P.P.C. - Winfield Scott Post 445 - Jany 2 1904". These are getting more difficult to find.

Here is a great badge worn by veteran members of the 42 Illinois Infantry. This badge has a "42" on the hanger and the drop has "1861 - Veteran - 1865 - Illinois" on it. There are stacked rifles and tents with flags on the badge.
This Western regiment fought at Corinth, Stones River, Chickamauga, Missionary Ridge, Atlanta Campaign, and Nashville. Don't miss this great badge!

One of the most difficult United Confederate Veteran badges to find! This is the Staff and Officers badge of the Forrest Cavalry Corp. This was the badge issued to the Forrest Cavalry Corp when the Forrest Cavalry Corp first was established. The top bar has "STAFF" on it. The yellow ribbon is in great shape and there is a celluloid of General Forrest. This is truly a wonderful badge.

It is unusual to have these two badges together. The delegate probably bought the Souvenir badge for his wife. Two great badges for one price!

The drop has the Union Veteran Legion logo. On the back is "12th National Encampment - Union Veteran Legion - Presented by the Citizens Committee - Columbus, O." and the statue of Columbus. This is a very hard to find badge from Union veterans.
