6th Ohio Volunteer Cavalry 1909 Reunion Badge

SOLD!!!
A great badge worn by veterans of the 6th Ohio Cavalry. The badge has a celluloid pinback for the hanger. On the pinback is written "Miss Elizabeth Macdonald - Daughter of the Regiment" with a likeness of Miss Macdonald. A yellow ribbon is attached to the pinback. On the ribbon is written "44th Annual Reunion - Warren, Ohio - Oct. 5, 1909 - Col. William Stedman - 6th O.V.V. Cavalry". A likeness of Colonel Stedman is on the ribbon. Please note a small seperation in the ribbon above the word "Annual". This does not compromise the ribbon.

16th Maine Infantry Members Badge - Gettysburg

A wonderful silver badge worn by a member of the 16th Maine Infantry. This great unit has as great a battle history as you could want! South Mountain, Antietam, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, Mine Run, Wilderness, Spottsylvania, North Anna, Totopotomy, Bethesda Church, Petersburg, Weldon Railroad, New Market Heights, Hatchers Run, Gravelly Run, Five Forks, and Appomattox. What a great battle history. These guys truly "saw the elephant" many times! This beautiful badge has crossed rifles and "16 Maine Inf." on the hanger. The drop has "Fredericksburg to Appomattox - 1862 - 1865" written on it. There are crossed flags and swords, an eagle, two cannon tubes and stacks of ammunition on this great badge. The Fifth Corp emblem is in blue enamel surrounded by white enamel. On the back is "The G.G. Braxmar Co. - Maiden Lane - New York" and "Sterling". At Gettysburg, the 16th Maine ended up with 30 men and 5 officers that were not wounded, killed, or taken prisoner.

15th Ohio Infantry Identified Shield Badge- POW

A great identified shield badge worn by Brown Deselms of Company K, 15th Ohio Infantry. Deselms mustered in September, 1861 and mustered out November 21, 1865. He was captured at Stones River, 12/31/62 and wounded May 3, 1864 at Rocky Face Ridge, GA. The 15th Ohio Infantry fought in most of the major Western theatre battles of the war. Shiloh, Corinth, Stone's River, Chickamauga, battles for Atlanta, Franklin, and Nashville were some of the battles the 15th participated in.


1st Pennsylvania Infantry Identified Shield Badge

SOLD!!! A neat badge worn by one of the early volunteers for the Union. W.H. Stultz signed with the 1st Pennsylvania Infantry immediately after President Lincoln called for volunteers. These early volunteers were called "First Defenders". A neat veterans badge from one of the early volunteers!

15th Pennsylvania Cavalry Ided Badge Grouping

A wonderful badge grouping worn by a veteran of the 15th Pennsylvania Cavalry. The first badge is a gold badge worn by members of the 15th PA. Cavalry. This badge has a saddle with a cavalry saber and a carbine. Around the saddle is "PVC" and a "15" is on the saddle. The second badge is a gold Post badge engraved on the back with "Geo. K. Mecke - Co. M - 15 PA Cav.". This neat pin has "Post 94 - Philada" on the front with crossed saber and a star hanging from the badge. A "T" bar pin is on the back. George K. Mecke enlisted on August 22, 1862 as a private. He was promoted to Sergeant on July 9, 1864 and was mustered out on June 21, 1865 in Nashville, Tennessee.

108th New York Infantry Volunteer Lapel Badge

A great lapel pin worn by veterans of the 108th New York Infantry. This wonderful lapel pin is in the shape of a clover (Second Corp) in blue enamel. On the blue enamel is "108 N.Y.V. - G". Looks like this was worn by a member of Company G. The 108 New York was a hard fighting unit. Antietam, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, Bristoe Station, Wilderness, Spottsylvania, and Petersburg were battles this unit participated in.

65th Illinois Infantry Ladder Badge

SOLD!!! A neat ladder badge worn by a member of the 65th Illinois Infantry. This is a three piece badge. There are two bars and a shield attached. Written on the badge is "Co. A - 65" Ill. - Vol. Inf." with crossed muskets on the shield!

45th Illinois Infantry Ladder Badge

SOLD!!! A great ladder badge worn by a veteran of the 45th Illinois Infantry. This ladder badge is a four bar ladder badge with "Co. K - 45 - Illinois - Vol. Inf." on the badge. A tassel is attached for the fourth bar. A great badge!

Macon, GA Welcome McKinley UCV Ribbon

SOLD!!! A great ribbon from the Bibb County Camp, United Confederate Veterans welcoming President McKinley to Macon, Georgia. The ribbon is gray and approximately 9 inches by 2 1/2 inches. A likeness of McKinley is on the ribbon. Written on the ribbon is "Welcome! Bibb County Camp, No. 484, Confederate Veterans, Macon, GA., Dec. 19, 1898. - "Every soldier's grave made during the unfortunate civil war is a tribute to American valor; and while when those graves were made we differed wildly about the future of government, those differences were long ago settled by the arbitrament of arms, and the time has come, in the evolution of sentiment and feeling, in the providence of God, when in the spirit of fraternity we should share with you in the care of Confederate soldiers.""

1894 Unveiling Confederate Monument Richmond Va.

A great ribbon worn by participants at the 1894 unveiling of the Confederate Soldiers' & Sailors' Monument in Richmond, Virginia. The ribbon is approximately 6 7/8 inches by 2 1/2 inches. On the ribbon is the monument and two Confederate flags. Written on the ribbon is "Confederate Soldiers' & Sailors' Monument UNVEILING - Richmond, VA., May 30, 1894". A great ribbon!


1892 A.P. Hill Monument Unveiling Badge

A very hard to find badge worn by Confederate veterans at the unveiling of the General A.P. Hill monument in Richmond, Virginia. This great badge is approximately 7 1/8 inches by 2 1/4 inches. A gold fringe is attached to the bottom of the ribbon. On the ribbon part of the badge is written "Unveiling Gen'l A.P. Hill Monument - Richmond, VA. - May 30th, 1892". There are six Confederate flags surrounding a Virginia state flag. General A.P. Hill's image is also on the badge.

26th Illinois Identified Shield Badge

SOLD!!! A great identified shield badge worn by Thomas Bones of the 26th Illinois Infantry. This great badge has Bone's name on the hanger and the 26th Illinois Infantry information on the shield!

1902 West Virginia State Badge

North Carolina 1929 Hornet's Nest Badge

A neat hanger from the 1929 Sons of Confederate Veterans national badge presented at the Charlotte, North Carolina United Confederate Veteran reunion. This badge has Confederates firing their muskets and "Charlotte, N.C. - The Hornet's Nest" written on it.


1910 North Carolina Celluloid Norfolk Reunion Badg

A very hard to find badge worn by North Carolina veterans at their 1910 United Confederate Veteran's State reunion held in Norfolk, Virginia. It is very hard to find these badges without cracks or breaks. This wonderful badge has the Confederate battle flag and the First National flag on it. Under the flags are the Virginia and North Carolina state coat of arms. Under the coat of arms are two swords, a cannon tube, and an anchor. Written on the badge is "North Carolina State Reunion - UCV - Norfolk, VA. - September 6-7, 1910". The badge is approximately 2 inches by 3 9/16 inches. The celluloid badge was made by Whitehead & Hoag Co., Newark, N.J. There is an ink mark on the back of the badge on the very bottom of the badge. This makes it look like a crack or break but it is only a mark. Don't miss this hard to find badge.
