1904 UCV National Reunion Badge - Nashville, Tennessee

SOLD!!! A great badge worn by Confederate veterans at the 1904 United Confederate Veteran reunion held in Nashville, Tennessee. This three piece badge is still together! The hanger has the word "VETERAN" written on it. A gray ribbon hangs from the hanger. Written on the gray ribbon in red ink is "U.C.V. Reunion Nashville - June 14, 15, 16 1904". The drop is circular with the Confederate battle flag in the middle of the drop. Above the battle flag is "1861" and below the battle flag is "1865". The badge was manufactured by Stief Jewelry Company, Nashville, Tennessee. There is a small seperation on the ribbon between the words "Reunion" and "Nashville" on the right hand side.

Fantastic 1914 UCV Staff Badge - Jacksonville, Florida

SOLD!!! A fantastic staff badge from the 1914 United Confederate reunion held in Jacksonville, Florida. The hanger is in a gold color with two crossed Confederate flags and the city of Jacksonville. Written above the city is "Jacksonville, FLA." and below the city "1914". A red and white ribbon hanges from the hanger. Written on the ribbon in gold print is "AIDE COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF". The drop in the same gold color as the hanger, has a Confederate Veteran commander in the middle. Surrounding the Confederate veteran are crossed sabers, crossed rifles, crossed cannon, a naval anchor, and a bugle. Written around the Confederate veteran is "U.C.V. 24 Annual Reunion - May 6-7-8". The badge was made by the Whitehead & Hoag Company, Newark, New Jersey as noted on the back of the drop and on the top of the back of the ribbon.

A great celluloid badge from the 1913 United Confederate Veterans reunion held in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The badge has General Nathan Bedford Forrest in the center of a Confederate battle flag. Written on the badge is "Official Badge - The Wizard of the Saddle - Chattanooga, Tenn. - May 27 - 28 - 29, 1913.". The badgge is approximately 2 inches by 2 inches. The badge was manufactured by the St. Louis Button Company, St. Louis, Missouri. This is one of the more difficult Forrest badges to find.

SOLD!!! This neat badge was awarded to veterans from New York who attended the 1913 50th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg reunion. The hanger on this badge shows two veterans shaking hands with a flag in the background. Written on the hanger is "1863 - 1913 - New York - Gettysburg". The drop has General Meade and General Lee's likeness in the center of the drop and guns, cannon, swords, and Union shields surrounding the generals likeness. The badge was made by the Whitehead & Hoag Company, Newark, New Jersey as noted on the back of the drop.

SOLD!!! A scarce ribbon from the 1894 United Confederate reunion held in Birmingham, Alabama. This great ribbon has "Confederate Reunion C.S.A. '94". The ribbon has a dark spot about two thirds down on the right side. This is a really hard reunion to find any ribbons or badges from! Don't miss this great ribbon.

SOLD!!! A 1926 United Confederate Veteran reunion badge from the national Confederate Veteran reunion held in Birmingham, Alabama. This great two piece badge has "U.C.V." on the hanger. The drop has the Stone Mountain , Georgia view of Lee, Davis, and Jackson. A Confederate battle flag is under the soldiers. Please look at the great paint still on this badge! Written on the drop is "UCV - 36th Reunion - Birmingham - ALA. - 1926". On the sides of the Confederate battle flag are cotton bowls. This badge is made by the Whitehead & Hoag Company of Newark, New Jersey as noted on the back of both pieces.

SOLD A great 1924 United Confederate Veterans reunion badge from the Memphis, Tennessee reunion. This is the badge the veterans wore and was the official veterans badge of the reunion. The hanger has a large building with "Lee Highway" and "Memphis, Tenn." underneath the building. The drop has the statue of General Nathan Bedford Forrest in front of the City of Memphis on the Mississippi River. A Confederate battle flag is underneath the statue. Written on the drop is "U.C.V. - 34th Reunion - Memphis - 1924". The battle flag is missing some of the paint as most of these badges have done over the years.

Written on the badge is United Confederate Veterans - Dalle, Texas - April 1902 - Gen. R.E. Lee". The back of the drop has a First & Third national Confederate flag and a Confederate battle flag.

A great celluloid pinback from the 1902 United Confederate Veterans reunion held in Dallas, Texas. The pinback is approxiamtely 1 3/4 inches wide. An image of Robert E. Lee , a Texas star, and the Case bald eagle are all on the pinback. Written on the pinback is "Confederate Reunion April 22 - 24, 1902 - Dallas, Texas - J. Case Threshing Machine Co., Racine, Wis., U.S.A.". The pinback was made by the Whitehead & Hoag Company, Newark, New Jersey as noted on the back of the pinback.

1941 GAR National Columbus, Ohio Badge

SOLD!!! The 1941 badge is a three-part bronze badge with a gold backing ribbon. The top suspension bar is a representation of the eagle from the membership badge. Hanging by five chain links is the drop, which depicts the state seal of Ohio and the inscription "September 14-19, 1941, Columbus, Ohio". Below the state is "representative" and "GAR". At the bottom of the drop is a banderole inscribed "75th Annual Encampment". Hanging by a single chain link below this is the circular pendant, inscribed "Commander in Chief William W. Nixon". The reverses of the drop and pendant are marked "Metal Arts Co. Roch. NY".

SOLD!!! The 1885 National Encampment badge is bronze, with a top bar inscribed "Portland 1885". The round pendant depicts the seal of the state of Maine, with the inscription "Delegate to the 19th Annual National Encampment G.A.R.". On the reverse of the pendant is the GAR seal within a wreath. The ribbon is gold.

SOLD!!! A wonderful ribbon worn by a survivor of the battle of Stones River. The red ribbon is approxiamtely 6 inches long by 1 7/8 inches wide. On the top of the ribbon is an American flag stuck in a globe which says "Our Country". The globe is floaing in water. Written under the globe is "4th Annual Reunion of the Survivors Battle Stone River, Shelbyville, IND . - Dec. 31st, 1903 and Jan. 1st, 1904.".

A great badge presented on the 25th Anniversary of Appomattox to Maryland Union veterans. The hanger has "Union Veteran" written on it. The drop has a star much lik the GAR membership badge. ON the badge in the middle is a circle with "Twenty Fifth Anniversary - Appomatox 1865 - Baltimore 1890" written in it. An extremely hard Maryland badge to find.
