A great souvenir badge from the 1916 United Confederate Veterans national reunion held in Birmingham, Alabama. The hanger has the word "Souvenir" written on it. The drop is attached by two rings to the hanger. In the middle of the drop is Robert E. Lee's likeness. Written around Lee's likeness is "United Confederate Veterans Reunion - Birmingham, ALA. - May 16 - 18 - 1916 - Gen. R.E. Lee". On the back of the drop is the First National flag, Third National flag, and the COnfederate battle flag is in the middle.

A neat paper badge for the Confederate Monument fund in Richmond, Virginia. The cardboard tag is approximately 3 inches wide. On the front is a Confederate battle flag with "Confederate Monument Fund - TAG DAY - Dennison's Tag - Trade Mark" written on it. On the back of the badge is the Great Seal of the Confederate States. These were sold to help finance the ConfederateSoldiers Monument.

SOLD!!! A nice badge worn at the 1897 United Confederate Veterans reunion held in Nashville, Tennessee. The hanger has the word "Souvenir" on it. The drop is in the shape of a Southern Cross surrounded by a wreath. Written on the drop is "Reunion Confederate Veterans - Nashville - June 22 - 24, 1897". The badge was made by Schwabb & Son, Milwaukee as noted on the back of the drop.

A hard to find reunion badge for the 2nd Iowa Cavalry in 1897. The celluloid disk is approximately 1 3/4 inches wide. Written on the badge is "8th Bi-Ennial Reunion Second Iowa Cavalry - Davenport, Iowa, October 6-7, 1897". An Union officer riding a horse is depicted in the middle of the badge. A pin is attached to the back of the badge.

SOLD!!! A nice ribbon from the 1901 South Carolina United Confederate Veteran state reunion held in May 1901. The red ribbon is approximately 7 inches by 1 1/2 inches. Written on the ribbon is "SOUTH CAROLINA - State Reunion - U.C.V. - Columbia, S.C. - May 8-10, 1901". A nice ribbon from a hard to find reunion.

SOLD!!! A great ribbon worn by Tennessee members of the Grand Army of the Republic. The ribbon is approximately 6 7/8 inches by 1 1/2 inches. Written on the cream colored ribbin is "TENNESSEE - The "Volunteer State" furnished 35,000 men to the Union Army, and 58,000 Heroes sleep in the cemetaries at Chattanooga, Donelson, Knoxville, Memphis, Stone River, Nashville, and Pittsburg Landing.". A really neat and hard to find southern GAR ribbon!

A hard to find badge from the 79th Pennsylvania Infantry. This badge was worn by a veteran of the 79th Pennsylvania Infantry at their 1905 reunion held in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The badge has a brass type hanger. A red/white/blue ribbon is attached. Written on the ribbon is "Reunion - 79th Regiment P.V.I. - Lancaster, PENN. - September 12, 1905". A round celluloid with the 14th Corps acorn symbol is in the middle of the ribbon. There is a small hole under the "EN" of Regiment and a small hole under the "S" in September. No pin is attached to the hanger.

SOLD!!! A two piece badge worn by veterans at the 1907 United Confederate Veterans reunion held in Richmond, Virginia. The hanger has the Confederate battle flag and the Virginia state flag on either side with a circle and "U.C.V."in the middle. A drop with the Jefferson Davis Memorial is attached. Written on the drop is "Richmond, VA - 1907". The badge was made by the Whitehead & Hoag Company, Newark, N.J.

SOLD!!! A very nice badge from the 1890 Unveiling of the General Robert E. Lee Monument in Richmond, Virginia. The badge has an eagle hanger in brass type color. The drop has the Lee Monument in the middle of the drop. Written around the edges is "In Memory of Robert E. Lee. This Statue was Unveiled May 29, 1890. On the back of the drop is the Virginia crest. What is different about this badge is a period piece of paper is attached to the pin on the back of the badge. Written on the paper is "Presented by Wm. S. Bert, Esq. of Greencastle, Pa., Thursday, June 12, 1890.". Due to the condition of the badge and the paper still being attached , this badge went in some girls memories box and lucky for us, stayed there.

A great badge that just came out of an 30 year collection. The hanger has "Dr. W.F. Smith" written on it. The drop is in the form of a Sixth Corp emblem. Written on it is "2" R.I. Inf.". The 2nd Rhode Island was a great unit that fought with the Army of the Potomac. I found an image of Dr. William F. Smith on the internet and have attached it to the listing. No photo comes with this group.

SOLD!!! A ribbon worn by veterans at the 1897 United Confederate Veterans National reunion held in Nashville, Tennessee. The ribbon has nice graphics but has some issues with condition. Please look at photograph for condition, but is priced at half what one in good condition sells for!

A great badge worn by Grand Army of the Republic Rhode Island veterans from the Slocum Post No. 10. The hanger has a shield with an anchor and the word Hope above it. Also on the hanger is written "Rhode Island". A blue ribbon is attached to the hanger. A large, heavy drop is attached to the bottom of the ribbon. On the the drop is written "Slocum Post No. 10, Department of Rhode Island, G.A.R.". On the back of the drop is a GAR star and "Chartered Feb. 27th, 1868". The badge is attached to an old card showing what the badge is. There is also a manila sleeve with the information on it.

A really neat Southern Cross drop found by a metal dector. This cross does not have the top bar. The chain holding it to the top bar probably broke and the star fell to the ground to be found by a man using a metal detector many years later. This is from a Crankshaw cross. This cross is in really in good shape for one found with a metal detector. There is not much ground action at all!

SOLD!!! A really neat badge from the 1904 reunion of the 15th Maine Infantry held in Boston, Massachusetts. The badge has a brass type hanger. A red ribbon is attached. Written on the ribbon in gold ink is "Annual Reunion - 15th Maine Regimental Association - Boston, Mass. - Aug. 17 - 18, 1904". The drop is a celluloid image of a veteran wearing a GAR hat. This is most likely an officer from the regiment. The badge is made by the Whitehead & Hoag Co., Newark, N.J. as noted on the back of the ribbon and the celluloid drop.

A great badge worn by the veterans from New Hampshire at the 1913 Gettysburg 50th Anniversary Reunion. On the hanger General Lee and General Meade stare at each other. A pair of shaking hands are above the generals. A beautiful U.S. flag and Confederate flag are painted below the generals. A red, white, and blue ribbon is attached to the hanger. Written in gold ink is "1863 - 1913 - 50th Anniversary Gettysburg". The drop in the shape of the state of New Hampshire hangs from the ribbon. A GAR badge is on top of the famous Old Man of the Mountain rock face which fell in 2003. Under the Old Man of the Mountain are the letters "NH". The badge was made by the Whitehead & Hoag Company of Newark, New Jersey. All three pieces are so marked. This is a beautiful badge in excelent plus condition.
