1913 Gettysburg 50th Anniversary Badge

A wonderful badge from the 50th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg.  The badge has three parts.  The top hanger has the US and Confederate battle flag.  "1863 - 1913" and "Souvenir" are also on the the hanger.  A red, white, and blue ribbon is attached to the hanger and the drop.  The drop has all kinds of neat things on it.  General Lee and Meade are in the center of the drop.  A circle around them has "50th Anniversary Battle of Gettysburg" written on it.  Above the circle is an eagle sitting on cannon barrels.  On the two sides are the United States flag and the Confederate third national flag.  The outside edge of the drop has leaves on it.  The Grand Army of the Republic star is on the bottom of the drop.  The badge was made by Schwaab & Sons, Milwaukee as noted on the back of the drop.  


36th Anniversary of the Battles at Wilson Creek and Oak Hill Badge - Springfield, MO

A very hard to find badge from the 36th Anniversary of the battles at Wilson Creek and Oak Hill in 1897.  This great badge is a two piece badge.  The hanger has "Souvenir" on it.  The drop has an applied U.S. flag.  Written on the drop is "36th Anniversary Battle of Wison Creek, Oak Hill - 1861 - 1897 - Springfield, MO, Aug. 9 - 14".  The badge was made by Schwaab & Sons in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and their mark is on the back of the drop.  


1938 75th Anniversary of Gettysburg Identified Veteran's Badge

One of the most sought after and hard to find badges around!  These 1938 Gettysburg veteran badges were presented to the few Civil War veterans that were still alive and could attend the 1938 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg.  This badge was presented to Christian Kopp of the 33rd New Jersey Infantry.  The number on the back of the badge is "289".

Wheeler Cavalry Camp A,Atlanta, Georgia Badge

A very hard to find badge worn by members of the Wheeler Cavalry Camp A of Atlanta, Georgia.  The hanger has a Confederate battle flag and "1861 - 1865" on it.  A large yellow ribbon with "Wheeler's Cavalry Camp A - Organized 1899" is silver ink on it.  A buff ribbon with a large celluloid of General Wheeler riding a horse is also attached to the hanger.  A medal fringe hangs from the ribbon.  The badge is approximately 8 3/4 inches by 2 1/4 inches.

First Florida Brigade 1908 UCV Ribbon

A great ribbon worn by the 1st Florida Brigade at the 1908 United Confederate Veterans reunion held in Birmingham, Alabama.  The ribbon is approximately 7 1/8 inches by 2 1/4 inches.  Written on the ribbon is "Reunion - First Brigade Florida Division U.C.V. - 1908".  Florida Confederate Veteran items are very hard to find!

Florida UCV Joseph E. Finegan, Camp No. 1514, Live Oak, Florida Pin Back

A hard to find pin back badge for the Live Oak, Florida United Confederate Veteran Camp No. 1514.  The pin back is approximately 1 3/4 inches wide.  Written on the pin back is "Joseph E. Finegan Camp - No. 1514, U.C.V.".  The Confederate third national flag and the Confederate battle flag are crossed in the center of the pin back.  The pin back was made by the Whitehead & Hoag Company, Newark, New Jersey.  Florida Confederate Veteran items are extremely hard to find!


1905 UCV Little Rock, Arkansas Badge

A great badge worn by Confederate veterans at the 1905 United Confederate Veterans reunion held in Little Rock, Arkansas.  This was a Arkansas state Confederate veterans reunion.  The hanger is a celluloid button with a Confederate battle flag on it.  Around the flag is "UCV & 1861 - 1865".  A red ribbon is attached to the hanger.  Written on the ribbon is "State Reunion - U.C.V. - Little Rock, ARK. - November, 1905".

124th Indiana Volunteer Infantry & 15th Battery 1894 Ribbon

A nice, large ribbon worn by a veteran of the 124th Indiana Infantry or the 15th Indiana Battery at their Connersville, Indiana 1894 reunion.  The ribbon is approximately 9 inches by 2 5/16 inches.  Written on the ribbon is "124th Indiana Vol. Infantry and 15th Indiana Battery, 18th Annual Reunion - Connersville, Indiana, Sept. 19 & 20, 1894".

Regimental History
One Hundred and Twenty-fourth Indiana Infantry. — Cols., James Burgess, John M. Orr; Lieut. -Cols., John M. Orr, Henry H. Neff, Henry S. Gibson; Majs., Henry H. Neff, Henry S. Gibson, John Messick. This regiment was organized by the consolidation of three companies, raised in the 6th Congressional district for the 125th regiment, and seven companies raised in the 5th Congressional district, rendezvousing at Richmond. It was mustered in March 10, 1864, left the state on the 19th, proceeding to Nashville via Louisville, and was assigned to the division command by Gen. Hovey. On April 5, it proceeded to Athens, Tenn., where the left wing was detached and sent to Columbus. With its corps it marched toward Red Clay, Ga., being joined at Columbus by the left wing. It was in an engagement at Buzzard Roost ; in frequent skirmishes in the vicinity of Resaca and Kingston; in sharp fighting at Lost mountain, and was actively engaged at Kennesaw mountain. Col. Burgess resigned July 9, and Lieut. -Col. Orr was promoted colonel. The regiment was in a constant skirmish until Atlanta was reached; was in the battle of Atlanta on the 22nd; took part in the siege of Atlanta; fought at Jonesboro, and then remained in camp at Decatur until Oct. 4, when it accompanied the column in pursuit of Hood; had a sharp skirmish at the Oostanaula river; continued the pursuit as far as Gaylesville, Ala.; moved via Cedar bluffs and Dalton to Nashville, where it joined Gen. Thomas' command. It next moved for Pulaski, reaching there on the 15th, and proceeding thence to Columbia, where it was in a brisk skirmish for two days. On the march toward Franklin it was in a brisk fight at Spring Hill, where Co. C was captured. It was in the battle of Franklin, Nov. 30, repelling every assault, was next engaged in the battle of Nashville, and joined in pursuit of Hood as far as Columbia, whence it moved to Clifton, embarked for Cincinnati, moved thence to Washington, which was reached on Jan. 30, 1865; then sailed for Morehead City, N. C, which was reached Feb. 27. From New Berne, it marched towards Kinston, being engaged at Wise's Forks, and aiding in repulsing an assault. From Kinston it marched for Goldsboro, where a junction was effected with Sherman's army on March 21. It was stationed at Lenoir institute for a short time, moving for Greensboro May 3, thence to Charlotte, where it went into camp. It returned to Greensboro July 13, remained there until Aug. 31, when it was mustered out. The original strength was 958; gain by recruits 79; total, 1,037. Loss by death, 149; desertion, 37; unaccounted for 6.

32nd Grand Camp of Virginia Delegate - Harrisonburg, Virginia Ribbon

A neat ribbon worn by a Confederate veteran as a Delegate at the 32nd reunion of the Grand Camp of Virginia held in Harrisonburg, Virginia.  This is a hard to find "DELEGATE" ribbon.  The ribbon is red with black printing.  Written on the ribbon is "Grand Camp of Virginia - 32nd Reunion - DELEGATE - Harrisonburg, Va.".  The ribbon is approximately 6 3/4 inches by 1 1/2 inches.  The Grand Camp of Virginia was the Confederate veterans state reunion organization.  While the Grand Camp associated with the United Confederate Veterans, they continued their own organization with their own reunions.  There is a hole in the ribbon on the upper part of the "E" in "Delegate".

Andersonville Survivors POW Badge

A great Prisoner of War badge worn by a survivor of Andersonville!  The hanger has "Connecticut - Survivors Of" and a light blue ribbon is attached.  Attached to the light blue ribbon is a bar that says "Andersonville".  A top of the national Prisoner of War badge is attached below.  Underneath that are the letters "Ct." for Connecticut.  The badge is approximately 5 inches by 1 1/2 inches.


Forrest Cavalry 2nd Tennessee Cavalry & Morton's Battery Ribbon

Look at this great 2nd Tennessee Cavalry and Morton's Battery reunion ribbon.  The ribbon is yellow and written in black on it is "Barteau's 2nd Regm't Tennessee Cavalry and Morton's Battery.".  Forrest Cavalry regimental ribbons are almost impossible to find!  Please note the weak area just above the "Tennessee Cavalry".


United Confederate Veterans Pin Back

General Joseph Wheeler Celluloid Badge

It is likely this badge was worn in remembrance of General Joseph Wheeler.  It has a red and white ribbon and a brass rope drop.  In the brass drop is a celluloid button with General Joseph Wheeler's likeness.  General Wheeler is older in this likeness.  Any Wheeler badge is hard to find.

1901 United Confederate Veterans Memphis Reunion Key to the City Badge

A really neat badge presented to Confederate veterans at the 1901 United Confederate Veterans reunion held in Memphis, Tennessee.  This badge has a hanger that looks like a bow with a Confederate third national flag on it.  It is attached to a drop which is in the form of a key.  Engraved on the key is "CV - Memphis - 1901".  The key is to symbolize the key to the city of Memphis.  This badge hardly ever comes available on the market.
