SOLD!!! A really nice ladder badge worn by a veteran from the 1st Iowa Cavalry! This badge has four bars and has the tassel that is missing from so many ladder badges.

GAR Iowa Volunteer Ribbon - Held in Oregon!

A nice ribbon worn by Iowa Volunteers at a G.A.R. reunion held in Newberg, Oregon in 1913. This badge is approximately 7 inches long by 2 3/8 inches wide. The ribbon is a dark blue with gold writing. Written on the ribbon is "G.A.R. Iowa Volunteers - Newberg, Oregon - Jnne 17-19, 1913". If you notice they misspelled June on the ribbon to Jnne! There is an illustration of a GAR membership badge on the ribbon.


1917 GAR Ribbon- Dept. of Washington/Alaska

A neat ribbon from the 1917 annual encampment of the Department of Washington and Alaska. This is a difficult department to find badges from. The ribbon is approximately 9 inches long by 2 1/4 inches wide. There is an United States flag on the ribbon and a bust of George Washington. Written on the badge is "Souvenir - G.A.R. and Affiliated Organizations 35th Annual Encampment - Department of Washington and Alaska - J.E. Gandy - Department Commander - Seattle, Washington - June 19th, 20th and 21st - 1917 - In Fraternity-Charity-Loyalty".

1897 Missouri at GAR National Buffalo NY Ribbon

A nice ribbon worn by GAR veterans from Missouri at the 1897 National Encampment held at Buffalo, New York. The ribbon is approximately 6 3/4 inches long and 2 3/8 inches wide. On the red ribbon is "31st National Encampment - MISSOURI - Buffalo, N.Y. - Aug. 23-28, 1897.".

23 New York Volunteers Veteran Reunion Ribbon

SOLD!!! A very nice ribbon worn by a veteran of the 23 New York Volunteers at their 1906 reunion. A list of battles they fought in are on the ribbon. They are "Rappahannock Station, Sulpher Springs, Second Bull Run, Antietam, Chantilly, South Mountain, Fredericksburg". Also written on the ribbon is "1861. 1906. - Twenty-Fourth Annual Reunion of the 23d Reg't New York Vols., Soldiers' Home. Bath, N.Y., September 14, 1906".The ribbon is approximately 6 3/4 inches long and 1 7/8 inches wide.

12th New York Veteran Reunion Ribbon

A nice yellow ribbon worn by a veteran of the 12 New York Infantry at a reunion. The ribbon is approximately 7 inches long by 2 1/16 inches wide. There is a 5th Corp badge in red with "Old 12th N.Y.V." on it. Also written on the ribbon is "1861. Re-Union and Picnic - Long Branch, July 18, 1888". A really nice clean ribbon.

1882 GAR National Baltimore, Maryland Badge

SOLD!!! This badge was so hard to find it did not even get into the GAR National badge book! This is the badge worn by veterans at the 1882 G.A.R. National Encampment held in Baltimore, Maryland. The photos say it all!!!!!!

2nd United States Sharp Shooters Reunion Badge

SOLD!!! A great ribbon worn by a veteran of the 2nd United States Sharp Shooters at a reunion. The ribbon is white. Written on the ribbon is "10th Annual Reunion of Co. B - 2nd U.S.S.S. - Okemos, Mich. - June 18th, 1890". It is very hard to find sharp shooter stuff. Don't miss this!

Berdan's Sharp Shooter Reunion Badge

SOLD!!! A great ribbon worn by veteransof the Berdan's Sharp Shooters. The ribbon is green and written on the ribbon is "Alchin - 1898 - Eighth Annual Reunion - Berdan's Sharp Shooters". The ribbon is green with a red diamond under the writing. There is a yellow discoloring on the left side of the ribbon. Please see the photo. It is almost impossible to find Berdan Sharp Shooter stuff!

1st Massachusetts Cavalry Veteran's Badge

SOLD!!! A really nice badge worn by veterans of the 1st Massachusetts Cavalry! This is a very beautiful badge. The hanger has "1st Mass. Cav." written on it. The drop has a horse head, crossed sabers, and a horse shoe. The 1st Massachusetts Cavalry fought in most of the East Coast battles including Antietam, Fredricksburg, Stoneman's Raid, Gettysburg, Kilpatrick's Raid on Washington, Wilderness, Spottsylvania, and other East Coast battles. This unit saw a lot of action and had a beautiful badge made for the veterans.

1917 Monument Badge Generals Doubleday & Robinson

A hard to find badge for the momument dedication for two monuments!! This badge was worn by a veteran at the monument dedication of General Doubleday and General Robinson on September 25, 1917. The hanger has "VETERAN" on it. A red ribbon is attached and the drop has both monuments. Written on the drop is "Dedication of Monuments to Generals Doubleday and Robinson - Dedicated Sept. 25th, 1917 - Gettysburg 1863". A killer badge for two monuments!! Don't miss this one.

1913 New York at Gettysburg Veteran's Badge

A nice badge worn by the New York veterans at the 1913 50th Anniversary at Gettysburg. The hanger has two soldiers shaking hands with "1863 - 1913 - New York - Gettysburg" written on it. The drop has General Lee and General Meade in relief with swords, guns, and cannons. The badge was made by The Whitehead & Hoag Co.

General Slocum Monument Veteran's Badge

A nice badge presented to veterans at the General Slocum Monument Dedication on September 19-20, 1902. The hanger has an eagle and "New York" written on it. The second bar of the badge says "Veteran". The drop has the Slocum Monument with "Dedication Equestrian Statue of General Slocum - Gettysburg - Sept. 19 - 20, 1902" on it. The badge was made by Whitehead & Hoag Co.

89th Ohio Identified Ladder Badge

A wonderful identified ladder badge from the 89th Ohio Infantry. This badge was owned by Arch Cork, Co. H, 89 Reg. O.V.I. Archibald Cork was mustered in August 1862 and was mustered out on June 7, 1865. The 89th Ohio supported the Wilder brigade at the battle of Hoover's Gap. The regiment engaged in the battle of Chickamauga where it was in the hottest part of the battle. At the end of the second day most of the regiment was captured. Arch Cork was not one of the captured soldiers. He fought at Missionary Ridge, Rocky Face Ridge, Resaca, and all the other fights in the Atlanta campaign. They fought at Nashville and joined Sherman on his march to the sea. They also fought in the Carolina campaign at the end of the war. This is a great badge! Don't miss it!

85 Indiana Volunteer Infantry 50th Anniv. Ribbon

A really nice ribbon for the 50th Anniversary of the 85th Indiana Volunteer Infantry. The ribbon is approximately 7 1/16 inches long. The reunion was held in Terre haute on September 2, 1912.
