SOLD!!! A great badge worn by Grand Army of the Republic Rhode Island veterans from the Slocum Post No. 10. The hanger has a shield with an anchor and the word Hope above it. Also on the hanger is written "Rhode Island". A blue ribbon is attached to the hanger. A large, heavy drop is attached to the bottom of the ribbon. On the the drop is written "Slocum Post No. 10, Department of Rhode Island, G.A.R.". On the back of the drop is a GAR star and "Chartered Feb. 27th, 1868". The badge is attached to an old card showing what the badge is. There is also a manila sleeve with the information on it.
