SOLD!!! Here is a great GAR calling card with the veteran's photo on the card. This great card says "Lieutenant H.B. Gurler- Age 86 - Dekalb, Illinois - Dressed in the uniform he wore in the Civil War. lieut. Gurler was one of the two million seven hundred thousand boys that charged hell and saved their country." The card is approximately 4 1/2 inches by 2 3/4 inches.

Here is a wonderful 1898 GAR Cincinnati National Encampment Candy Dish. This wonderful dish has the GAR membership badge on it and "Cincinnati 1898". On the bottom it says "Carlsbad BFHS China - Made in Austria". There are no chips or cracks on this great candy dish.

GAR Turn of the Century Stein

Here is a great GAR National Camp Stein. This great stein has the membership badge, artillery firing, and crossed rifles,swords, drums, and other military stuff. On the bottom is the Made in Germany stamp with another stamp. The stein is approximately 3 1/8 inches tall. The stein holds 1/8 liter.

Here is a truly hard to find UCV item. This is a UCV Camp desk. The secretary would use this to take minutes of the meeting. This is a leather covered box with a metal snap. On the outside of the box is "United Confederate Veterans" in gold. When you open the top there is a small desk and a multitude of pockets and drawers for camp business. There is a place for ink, pen nibbs, and under the desk is a storage area for papers. This is something you don't find very often in todays collecting world. Great piece - don't miss it!!!

5th South Carolina Southern Cross Application

Here is a application for J. Jenkins Hucks, 5th South Carolina Cavalry to receive his Southern Cross. The application is dated April, 1901. Sgt. Hucks was in Company E of the 5th South Carolina Cavalry. THe application is approximately 8 1/2 inches by 11 inches. The application is signed by the camp commander, adjutant, and two other members of the camp.
