A scarce and hard to find Certificate of Appreciation awarded to a boy scout who served at the 1934 United Confederate Veteran reunion held in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  This great certificate reads "Certificate of Appreciation awarded to Thomas Wright of Troop 100 - S.S.S. Chattanooga for valuable scout service during the 44th United Confederate Veterans Reunion sponsored by the American Legion Chattanooga, Tennessee June 6,7 and 8, 1934."  The signatures below include the Commanding General, U.C.V., the governor of the state of Tennessee, the mayor of Chattanooga, General Chairman U.C.V. Reunion, Commanders of two SCV posts, President Chattanooga Area Council, B.S.A., and a Scout executive.  These are printed signatures.  The certificate is approximately 8 1/8 inches wide and 6 1/2 inches tall.  There are no rips or tears.  There is a very small crease on the lower right hand corner.
