1939 UCV National Trinidad, Colorado Boy Scout Badge

Offered is a super hard to find badge worn by Boy Scouts who helped the Confederate veterans at the 1938 United Confederate Veterans National Reunion held in Trinidad, Colorado.  The badge has two parts.  The first part is a red and white ribbon.  Written on the ribbon is "BOY SCOUT - Special Recognition Award - Trinidad, Colo. - Aug. 1939".  The drop is attached to the ribbon and is the shape of a shield.  The likeness of General Robert E. Lee and General Stonewall Jackson are in circles at the top of the drop.  Under the generals is the likeness of Fort Wootton.  The Confederate battle flag is on the bottom of the drop.  Written around the edges is "Trinidad, Colorado 49th Annual Reunion - Aug. 22nd to 25th, 1939".  The badge is made by the Greenduck Company of Chicago.
