SOLD!!! A great badge worn by the members of the Washington, DC United Confederate Veteran camp. The Washington vets wore this badge at the dedication of the R.E. Lee Monument in Richmond, Virginia on May 29, 1890. The hanger is a disc covered in cloth. Two ribbons are suspended from the hanger. The white ribbon has "Society of Ex-Confederate Soldiers, District of Columbia." written on it. The red ribbon has "Lee Monument, May 29th, 1890." written on it. A very hard to find badge for the dedication of the Lee Monument!
