| SOLD!!! This is a very large albumen of the encampment of the 43rd Massachusetts Infantry on March 12, 1863 at Newbern, North Carolina. This great photo has officers and men standing and sitting around tents and trees. The actual photograph is approximately 9 inches by 11 inches. The photo is mounted on a cardboard backing that measures approximately 11 1/2 inches by 15 inches, and the period wooden frame it is in measures approximately 15 inches by 18 3/4 inches. On the cardboard backing is some great information. The albumen was photographed by Lt. G.H. Nickerson. The Boston Light Infantry logo is in the middle of the lower photograph. Also on the cardboard is "Camp Rogers, Encampment of the 43rd Regiment Mass. Vols. - Newbern, N.C. - March 12, 1863".
