| SOLD!!! A wonderful period CDV of the water batteries at Fort Morgan from the south. I can see at least three cannons pointed out to Mobile Bay. In period ink above the photo is "Water Batteries- from the South". This CDV has a backmark of "Photographed by McPherson & Oliver, No. 132 Canal St. New Orleans". There is a blue tax stamp on the back and in period pencil "Water battery from the West". Obviously they needed a compas! Item #: 10419 |
