| SOLD!!! Here is another hard to find North Carolina UCV piece! This great piece has three pieces together and each one would command a great price by itself. The first thing you notice about this badge is the celluloid N.C. Pine Tar barrel. This celluloid is approximately 2 3/4 inches long. There are no chips or tears in this celluloid. The next piece is a metal foot with a tar heel. On the foot it says "1861 - 1865 - 115,000 Voters - TAR HEELS - 127,000 Soldiers". Most of the "tar" has been rubbed off the heel. There is a small amount of rust on the middle toe. The foot is approximately 2 5/8 inches long. The third piece is a brass cross much like the Southern Cross. On the cross is an enameled Confederate battle flag and "First of Bethel, Foremost at Gettysburg, Farthest at Chickamauga, Last at Appomattox" around the flag.
