| A wonderful dual ribbon from the United Confederate Veterans 1896 National Reunion held in Richmond, Virginia and the Laying of the Cornerstone of the Jefferson Davis Monument. This is a large ribbon approximately 8 3/4 inches tall by 2 11/16 inches wide. The ribbon is red and has two separate parts. On the top of the ribbon is the likeness of Stonewall Jackson, General PGT Beauragard, and General Robert E. Lee. Written under these likenesses is written "Sixth Annual Reunion United Confederate Veterans - Richmond, VA., June 30th - July 2d.". Under this writing is the bust likeness of President Jefferson Davis. Written under President Davis's likeness is "Laying of the Corner Stone - Jefferson Davis MONUMENT. July 2, 1896.". The ribbon has some fraying over the likeness of the general at the top of the ribbon. This is one of the first dual ribbons I have encountered. Item #: 17258 Sale Pending |
