A beautiful United Confederate Veteran staff badge from the 1926 UCV national reunion held in Birmingham, Alabama.  The badge is crsp and cleand and is still attached to the original factory card!  The hanger has an older man with a cane looking at steel mills surrounded by a wreath.  A red and white ribbon hangs from the hanger.  Written on the ribbon in gold letters is "AIDE COMMANDER-In-Chief".  A drop is also attached to the hanger.  The drop has the Stone Mountain scene of Confederates and a battle flag.  Written around the drop is "1926 - 36th Reunion - Birmingham, ALA. - UCV".  The Whitehead & Hoag Company of Newark, New Jersey is the maker of this badge, and has their name stamped in the medal pieces and a large label on the back of the ribbon.
