A wonderful Civil War medal presented to the veterans of Ohio from the State of Ohio.  This is the drop from the badge.  This badge was presented to George M. Hull, Company H, 19th Ohio Veteran Volunteers.  George M. Hull enlisted as a corporal in September 1861.  He was promoted to Sergeant Major in January 1863, 2nd Lieutenant in August 1864, and 1st Lieutenant in December 1864.  He mustered out in October 1865.

The medal has a soldier receiving a laurel wreath on his head by Lady Liberty with an eagle watching in the background.  The back of the medal says "The State of Ohio To Geo. M. Hull, Veteran, Co. H, 19th Regt. Ohio Volunteer".  Tiffany is stamped on the bottom rimof the back drop.
