SOLD!
The top suspension bar of the 1898 badge is gilt and partially enamelled, with the image of the Cincinnati Soldiers Memorial in the center oval. Around the oval are blue-enamelled banderoles inscribed "Delegate" and "32nd National Encampment". From the top bar hangs a disc with enamelled edges inscribed "Cincinnati, Queen City of the West 1898". In the disc are a balance scale and a crossed sword and caduceus, with the inscription "Juncta Juvant". The ribbon is gold. The lower pendant is gilt and depicts the GAR badge under a rising sun within an oak leaf wreath. Superimposed across these are the script letters "GAR" enamelled in red, white and blue. The reverse of the pendant is plain, except for the maker's mark "G.G. Braxmar, 10 Maiden Lane, New York" stamped at the bottom.
