| A fantastic invitation to the 11th Annual reunion of the Society of the Army of the Cumberland and unveiling of the George Thomas statue held in Washington, D.C. The invitation has a likeness of General George Thomas and a likeness of the Army of the Cumberland badge on it. In addition to all the neat items on this invitation, it was sent to Union General W.W. Averill! The Local Executive Committee listed on the invitation is future president James A. Garfield, Brevet Brigadier General Thomas L. Young, and General A. McD. McCook. Also listed on the invitation is Brevet Brigadier General and future Major General H. C. Corbin. The card is approximately 7 1/4 inches by 5 inches. Six Union generals are refered to in some way on this invitation. A neat piece.
