| SOLD!!! SCMA - South Carolina Military Academy Badge. Here is a hard to find 1880's badge for the military academy. The South Carolina Military Academy was established in 1842. In 1865 the Northern troops(Yankees) closed the military academy and it did not reopen until 1882. In 1910 the name was changed from the South Carolina Military Academy to the Citadel. This badge was jeweler made with a "T" bar pin on the back. On the front is a palmetto tree and a cresent moon with SCMA. There is a small chip out of the enamel above the cresent moon.
