SOLD!!!
A nice ribbon from the 1885 reunion of the 18th Georgia Infantry reunion.  The 18th Georgia Infantry fought with the Army of Northern Virginia throughout most of the war.    Arriving in Virginia after the first battle of Manassas, the 18th Georgia was placed in Hoods Texas Brigade.  They fought with Hoods Texas Brigade until after Sharpsburg.  They were at Seven Pines, Seven Days Battles, Gaines' Mill, and 2nd Manassas before embarking on the Maryland Campaign.

After Antietam, the 18th Georgia was transferred to Cobb's Georgia Brigade.  They fought at Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, the Wilderness, Spotsylvania, and Cold Harbor.  Their last battle withe ANV was April 6, 1865 at Saylor's Creek.  They surrendered at Appomattox with what was left of the Armyof Northern Virginia.  Also the 18th Georgia went to Northern Georgia and East Tennessee with Longstreet.  While they did not fight at Chickamauga they did fight at Knoxville.  A very hard to find ribbon from a great ANV unit!
