SOLD!!!

A great group of Prisioner of War items from a cavalry soldier in the 1st Connecticut Cavalry.  The first item is a membership certificate of the National Association Union Ex-Prisoners of War.  The certificate is issued to Charles H. Knox, late sargent of Co. L, 1st Connecticut Cavalry.  The certificate was issued in 1891 and is a very difficult item to find.  The second item is a Prisioner of War membership badge.  The hanger consists of an eagle, knap sack, and two rifles with bayonets.  The drop is in a fort shape with canons on each corner and has an Union soldier being attacked by a dog.  Written on the badge is "Andersonville 1864" and "Death Before Dishonor".  The third item is a lapel badge for the National Association Union Ex-Prisioner of War.  The badge is a bronze color in the same fort shape as the membershp badge.  An Union soldier being attacked by a dog is in the middle of the badge.  Written on the badge is "Death Before Dishonor" and "U.Ex.P.W." .
