A great business card presented by Thomas J. Jones, 41st Tennessee Infantry.† Jones's card is approxiamtely 3 3/4 inches by 2 7/8 inches.† On one side "T.J. Jones - Company B, Confederate Veterans - Company F - 41st Tenn.Infantry - Nashville, Tenn" is written.† On the reverse side is Jones's likeness.† Jones's was born in Liberty, DeKalb County, Tennessee, on February 4, 1844.† He volunteered at Shelbyville, Tennessee on October 28, 1861, in Company F, 41st Tennessee Infantry, C.S.A.† He was slightly wounded in the knee and captured at Fort Donelson.† Jones spent 22 months as a prisoner of war at Camp Morton, Indiana.† He was paroled May 22, 1865.† Jones returned to the Nashville area and for thirty years was in the employ of the N.C. & St. L. Railway.† He was a member of Company B, Confederate Veterans.† Jones died in 1910 leaving a wife and 4 children.


I have included a photo out of the "Confederate Veteran" magazine with Jones and the other boys from Company B!† A copy of the photo out of the magazine comes with the card.
