SOLD!!! A very nice badge worn by Virginia Confederate veterans at the 1927 Grand Camp of Confederate Veterans reunion held in Alexandria, Virginia. The hanger is a celluloid badge that has the figure from the Alexandria, Virginia Confederate monument on it. The Confederate monument was dedicated in 1889. A red, white, and red ribbon is attached to the celluloid. Written in silver is "40th Annual Reunion of the Grand Camp Confederate Veterans of Virginia - June 7-9, 1927 - Alexandria, VA.". The badge was made by the St. Louis Badge Co. as noted in the paper label in the back of the celluloid. The badge is approxiamtely 5 inches by 1 5/8 inches. The badge is very clean and crisp!
