A nice CDV of 7th Rhode Island Infantry drummer boy identified as Franklin B. Holland. The image has Holland holding drum sticks with his drum at his feet. The rim of the drum is tinted red and his pants have a blue tint. On the back of the CDV written in ink is "F.B.Holland - Co. G - 7th Regt - R.I.V.". The 7th Rhode Island Infantry was in the 9th Corp and fought at Fredericksburg, Mud March, Vicksburg, Jackson, Wilderness, Spottsylvania, Cold Harbor, Petersburg, and participated in the Appomattox campaign.
