SOLD!!! A great badge worn by Rowland J. Beatty of the 5th Iowa Cavalry. Rowland mustered in as a 2nd Lt. on August 11, 1861 and mustered out January 26, 1865. He was promoted to 1st Lt. on September 11, 1862. He was born in Ireland. The badge is round and has "R.J. Beatty - 5th Iowa Cav. - Copywrite Applied For" written on the badge. The pin on the back is a t-bar pin.
