A wonderful souvenir card presented at the 1911 UCV Georgia reunion held in Rome, GA. by William H.H. Phelps. Phelps was captain of the Lulu Guards, Company H, 3rd Batt. Infantry. He was also in Company K, 37th Georgia Regement (Infantry). He also was detatched to Andersonville in 1863. Phelps presented these cards to friends at the 1911 Rome, GA reunion. On one side of the are three Confederate flags and a photo of Captain Phelps. Written on the front of the card is "Lest You Forget - Wm. H.H. Phelps - Captain (Lulu Guards) Company H, 3rd Batt. Infantry - Afterwards Company K, 37th Ga. Regt. (Infantry) - Georgia Volunteers C.S.A., April 27, 1861 - July 16, 1865 - Now Camp No. 159, U.C.V., Atlanta, Ga. - Photo taken April 26, 1911 (Memorial Day) - Souvenir Rome, GA., Reunion, September 20-21, 1911- (over)". On the back of the card is additional information about Captain Phelps. The card is approximately 5 1/2 inches by 3 7/8 inches. A red cord is attached to the top of the card.
