A beautiful ladder type badge from the 1st Iowa Cavalry! The badge is identified to Charles L. Dustin. He mustered into Company F on 8/1/1861 and mustered out on 2/15/66. He was promoted 2nd LT on Oct. 29, 1861, 1st LT on 7/1/62 and Captain on July 18, 1863. The hanger has Co. F on it. The drop is a 7th corp symbol. On the drop is "1'' IOWA VOL. CAV. - Charles L. Dustin - War 1861 - 5". A great badge. Don't miss it.
