SOLD!!!
A really great GAR Post Commander 14 kt. gold presentation cane. This cane was presented to Emory W. Muenscher, Captain, 30 Ohio Infantry as a Past Post Commander in his home in Michigan where he moved after the war. Muenscher enlisted on August 21, 1861 as a 1st Lieutenant. He was promoted to Captain of Company I on January 28, 1862. he was offered the Lt. COlonel position on January 6, 1865 but he declined and was mustered out on January 17, 1865. The knob on the cane has been tested and the results show it is 14 kt. gold! These are getting very hard to find.
