These identified ladder badges are getting harder and harder to find! I have just bought eight ladder badges out of a 40 year old collection. This badge has Co. A on the hanger and the drop is the 5th Corp cross with "140 N.Y. Vol. Inf." on it. The 140 NY was at Fredricksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, and other eastern major battles all the way to Appomattox. Great regiment - hard to find badge!
