Here is a wonderful chocolate color Southern Cross of Honor made by Charles Crankshaw in Atlanta. This cross is a screwback variety. Crankshaw's name and address is on the top bar.
The Crosses were awarded by the United Daughters of the Confederacy to Confederate veterans. According to Peter Bertram's book "The Southern Cross Of Honor: Historical Notes and Trial List of Varieties", approximately 78,000 of these Crosses of Honor were awarded to Confederate veterans. This is a beautiful cross. Don't miss it!
