Letter Envelope to Veteran of 154 Tennessee Infantry
A neat envelope written to Captain S.R. Shelton, Covington, Tennessee from the Tennessee Board of Pension Examiners, John P. Hickman, Secretary, Nashville, Tenn.  The envelope is dated by the postmark January 11, 1907.  A red 2 cent U.S. stamp with President Washington in on the corner of the envelope.  A Confederate battle flag is on the return address.  S.R. Shelton was a private in the 154th Tennessee Infantry.  The 154th Infantry served with General Cheatham from September 1861 until April 1865.  They saw lots of action in the Western division of the war.
