1890 Lee Monument Unveiling Badge Presented

SOLD!!!
A very nice badge from the 1890 Unveiling of the General Robert E. Lee Monument in Richmond, Virginia.  The badge has an eagle hanger in brass type color.  The drop has the Lee Monument in the middle of the drop.  Written around the edges is "In Memory of Robert E. Lee.  This Statue was Unveiled May 29, 1890.  On the back of the drop is the Virginia crest.  What is different about this badge is a period piece of paper is attached to the pin on the back of the badge.  Written on the paper is "Presented by Wm. S. Bert, Esq. of Greencastle, Pa., Thursday, June 12, 1890.".  Due to the condition of the badge and the paper still being attached , this badge went in some girls memories box and lucky for us, stayed there.
