A very hard to find Zouave badge!  This great badge was worn by members of the New York Veteran Zouave Association.  Members of this association represented some of the most highly sought after Zouave regiments around.  The hanger has crossed swords, an anchor, a cannon barrel, an engineer castle, and crossed rifles with a sunburst behind it. A t-bar pin is on the reverse side of the hanger.  The drop has an eagle and a Civil War officer with many badges on it.  Written around the officer is "Org. 1878 - Incor. 1886 - 1861 - 1865 - New York Veteran Zouave Association - Nunquam Retrorsum".  Also a band of corps badge symbols surround the soldier.  The badge was made by Braxmar - New York as stamped on the back of the drop.
